A SINGLE mother has revealed that when she moved into her council home there was no carpeting or blinds.

Megan moved into her council home a few weeks ago, and because the move happened quickly and unexpectedly, she wasn’t able to get the place in order before moving in.

She added that because she is unemployed, she cannot afford to buy new furniture for the bare house.

Through TikTok, Megan shared an honest insight into life as a single mother in a community center.

“I don’t have any furniture, I don’t have any blinds, I don’t have all the furniture that I want,” she said.

However, Megan does her best to make the house as beautiful as possible Nice as she can for her son.

“It will take time, but the end result will be what I want for me and my son, and that’s all I care about.”

Megan’s video has gone viral and has been viewed more than a million times on the video sharing platform.

However, she has been subjected to cruel comments from trolls, who tell her to stop complaining.

One person said: “Congratulations on getting a house, I’ve been waiting for six years and still haven’t got anything!”

A second person said: “In my city you would be told to rent privately.”

A third person said: “I’ve never had a house this big and I have to pay my own rent.”

However, others shared their support for Megan and her son.

Tenants of the municipality are allowed to make changes and renovations to their home.
