I am in the best shape of my life at 61 – my favorite tip takes just 20 minutes
A 61-year-old fanatic shared the steps she took to transform her body.
The influencer shared that it only took her three months to get in shape.

She said her 60th birthday prompted her to change her lifestyle.
“I wanted people to know that it was OK to be 60,” she told the newspaper.
“I was frustrated as a woman because I felt like I couldn’t say my age [proudly].
“I decided to get as fit as possible to prove that 60 can be a beginning rather than an end, it’s a great age.”
She shared the steps she had taken to achieve this goal, indicating that she was already reasonably fit.
Fiona’s background in fitness includes everything from Jane Fonda workouts to charity runs.
However, her way of staying in shape is now a lot less complex.
“Walking is the secret weapon to getting in shape,” she explains.
She also swears by intense workouts, which she does four times a week.
“With High Intensity Interval Training workouts you burn a lot of energy very quickly,” she says.
Fiona explained that she does each exercise for 45 seconds, followed by a 15-second rest.
Her favorite exercises include mountain climbers, squats, jumping jacks, push-ups, high knees, forward lunges, shoulder taps, glute bridge, bicycle crunches and tricep dips.
The fitness professional revealed that she got into the workouts because 20 minute videos on Youtube.
Fiona also swears by a high-protein, low-carb diet to keep her fitness levels up.
“I eat a lot of fish, lean meat and lots of vegetables,” she said, explaining that 80 grams of protein is her daily goal.
Fitness Tips for People 60 and Over
The 61-year-old fitness influencer said three simple steps helped her get started.
- Walk as much as you can every day.
- Take four HIIT training classes each week.
- Follow a high-protein, low-carb diet and aim for 80 grams of protein per day.
However, Fiona stressed that small steps are also necessary in your fitness journey to avoid burnout.
She suggested simply adding short walks or short exercise sessions to your schedule.
“You’ll be surprised how quickly the steps add up,” Fiona explained.
She said her slower start had gotten her into “the best shape of her life.”
“It’s never too late and you’re never too old, that’s my mantra,” Fiona said.
