I asked for aura nails – people gasp when they see what I walked out with
SHE thought she was going to leave the nail salon with the trendy aura nails.
But little did beauty lover Makayla know, her epic manicure would fail and take TikTok by storm for all the wrong reasons.
According to the dark-haired stunner, she asked the nail technician about the viral aura design, which has gained quite a fan base, especially among those looking for something a little more artistic.
Also known as blush nails or eyeshadow nails, the end result of this sought-after manicure features a burst of diffused color from the center of your nail.
The viral trend is perfect for anyone obsessed with auras: the colorful electromagnetic field that supposedly surrounds a person’s body and can describe its energy.
For her chic mani, Makayla – who posts under the username @makayla.k93 – had opted for a link pink appearance surrounded by a beautiful blood red outer lining.
Pink auras, associated with compassion and creativity, surround some of the most sensitive and romantic people you will ever meet, according to Keen.
According to the beauty fanatic, she asked the nail salon ”in advance” if they could do this – because she wouldn’t get them if the nail technicians didn’t feel comfortable and confident enough to pull it off.
The staff reportedly told Makayla it wouldn’t be a problem – and confidently told her they could do the trendy manicure.
But when the woman started working on her nails in the salon, Mikayla noticed something was wrong, but she hoped that would be the case because she had to trust the process.
Since the artist wasn’t doing one nail at a time, the customer thought maybe it would all come together towards the end – which unfortunately didn’t happen.
Hitting back at the critics who told Makayla it was only her fault, the woman said: “I definitely would have told her I didn’t like it at the first nail.
“I really didn’t think she was ready.”
After being anything but impressed with the end result, Makalya kindly asked the technician behind the masterpiece to redo the manicure, but that turned out to be a serious mistake.
Sharing the gruesome nail makeover on her page, the young woman revealed the monstrosity she walked out of the salon with: dark red nails with a white center that were a far cry from the ombre effect she was looking for.
From what age can you take children to have their nails done?
MOTHERS have sparked controversy after letting their children get acrylic nails. But how old do they have to be to have them legally performed.
According to National Occupational Standards, anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
They also need written permission from a parent or guardian.
It is also a good idea to check the salon you are going to, just to ask if they offer services to children.
“The bad thing is I had them do them all over again but they still turned out great,” the aggrieved customer wrote in the comments.
Since being posted to the platform, the video has been viewed more than 800,000 times, with more than 1,000 people rushing to comment as shocked as Makayla.
“How did you leave with this…” someone wondered.
“I audibly gasped,” someone else chimed in.
“The way my jaw hit the floor,” a third wrote.
“Please tell me you didn’t pay for that,” said one TikTok user.
