A mother was furious when she saw her child’s nursery teachers drinking wine during lunch.
However, opinions on the matter are divided, with some suggesting that the mother should report the staff, while others argue that they did nothing wrong.

The angry mum told Mumsnet she saw the nursery staff when she went to the pub for lunch with her sister.
She said: “In the pub I saw two nursery teachers from my child’s nursery having lunch and they were both having a glass of wine.
“There were also two empty glasses on the table, but they could have been from previous customers.”
She continued: “I wasn’t happy about it, but my sister says it’s their lunch hour and they don’t get paid for it.

“She added that two glasses won’t make a difference.”
The woman said the daycare staff saw her and looked “shameless.”
However, this meant that she could not make the reports anonymously.
She added: “I’m afraid they’ll treat my child differently if I say this.
“Am I exaggerating when I think they shouldn’t drink while caring for children?”
The post was flooded with responses from other mothers and opinions were divided.
Some felt that the childcare staff acted wrongly. For example, one said: “I wouldn’t be happy and I would report it.
“Two large glasses exceeds the alcohol limit.”
Another said: “This is completely inappropriate and I would report it.

“It is illegal to work in a daycare center under the influence of alcohol.
“If someone is so careless as to break the law on their lunch break, I don’t want them babysitting my kids.”
A third person said: “They absolutely shouldn’t drink alcohol if they have to take care of children afterwards.
“That is outrageous and I would report it immediately.”
However, others claimed that the staff had done nothing wrong.
Someone said: “What’s wrong with childcare workers having a drink with their lunch at the pub?
“Nothing at all, as long as they’re not drunk.”
A second person said, “Having one glass of wine is fine.
“It’s their unpaid lunch break, as long as they can do their job when they go back to work, what’s the problem?”
