So one savvy bride has told how she saved herself almost £1,000 thanks to a bargain at Dunelm.

Nikki and Cloe are set to tie the knot in 2025 and are keeping people updated on their budget wedding finds on their social media pages.

In one recent TikTok videothe brides-to-be posted the Dunelm find and shared a look at a table of twelve artificial rose and gypsophila bouquets.

“Run to @Dunelm for your bridesmaids bouquets, they look so realistic,” they captioned the video.

They showed the bouquets from a distance, but also zoomed in on the beautiful white flowers.

“This beautiful bundle of cream roses and gypsophila features a traditional design with an organza ribbon detail and a modern color scheme that will complement a range of home decor beautifully,” Dunelm wrote about the bouquets on their website.

The bouquets cost €16 each, or six for €86.

While they bought twelve, Nikki and Cloe spent a total of £172.

For comparison: with an average price of €90 per bouquet, you can expect to pay more than €1,000 for fresh bouquets for that many bridesmaids.

So the couple saved themselves around £900 by shopping in Dunelm for the bouquets.

Budget-friendly wedding tips

PLANNING a wedding on a budget doesn’t mean sacrificing your dream day. Here are some tips to keep costs low and still create a memorable party:

Set a budget and stick to it

  • Determine your overall budget early on and allocate money to different aspects of the wedding.
  • Keep track of all expenses to avoid overspending.

Limit the guest list

  • Keep your guest list organized to reduce catering, venue and other expenses per person.

Choose an affordable location

  • Consider non-traditional locations such as parks, community centers or a family member’s backyard.
  • Look for locations where you can bring your own salespeople.

DIY decorations

  • Create your own centerpieces, bouquets and other decorative items.
  • Use seasonal flowers and simple, elegant designs.

Choose a wedding on weekdays or out of season

  • Venues and vendors often offer discounts for weekday or off-season weddings.

Simplify the menu

  • Choose a buffet or family meal at a Gilded Dinner.
  • Limit the number of courses and opt for affordable, yet delicious options.

Borrow or rent clothes

  • Borrow wedding clothes from friends or family, or rent dresses and suits.
  • Search for deals or consider second-hand wedding dresses.

Digital invitations

  • Send digital invitations instead of printed invitations to save on printing and shipping costs.

Hire a DJ or create a playlist

  • Hire a DJ instead of a live band, or put together your own playlist for the reception.

Simplify the cake

  • Choose a small, simple cake for the ceremonial cutting and serve a sheet cake to the guests.

By following these tips, you can create a beautiful and memorable wedding without spending a lot of money. Remember, the focus should be on celebrating your love and commitment, not on how much you spend.

“I would never have picked these up without seeing this video, I love them!”

“We said the same thing!” the couple replied.

“We only ordered because of the photos in the reviews.”

“My mum made my bridesmaid from Dunelm and SHEIN,” said another.

“These suck!”

“So much cheaper than buying real ones because they last six hours,” the brides replied.

“Wowwww, I just found them!! What a bargain,” wrote another.

“I suggest you cut the stems short so they don’t show up in photos,” someone else suggested.

“Yes, we already said that. Then we will re-wrap them in ribbon to match the wedding colors,” Nikki and Cloe replied.

“I absolutely love them!” another was delighted.
