I dreamed of having big breasts but my husband stopped me…so I DUMPED him and had a breast augmentation
A mother who dreamed of bigger breasts but was stopped by her husband reveals how she dumped him to get a breast enlargement.
Fiona Anderson, 48, says she was mercilessly bullied by other pupils at school about her breasts as a teenager.
Her traumatic school days left her feeling like “a little girl” and resulted in a long-held wish for bigger breasts – inspired by the topless models she saw on the backs of Tennent’s beer cans as a child.
But her ‘toxic’ husband stopped her from having breast augmentation.
Instead, he ‘suppressed’ her dream for years, leaving Fiona in a constant state of uncertainty.
She eventually left him in December, after which she decided to fulfill her childhood dream and now feels more confident than ever.
Fiona told The Sun: “I was so flat-chested. I used to get bullied by other kids.
“I cried at night. That stopped when I left school, but I still had no self-confidence. I had a 34A, but I wasn’t even an A.
“There was a gap between my breasts and the cup of my bra. I filled them in with chicken breast bra inserts.”
She said her husband cited financial reasons for not having breast augmentation and preferred to have his own teeth done.
She said: “He suppressed my dreams for years. I think it was because of his own insecurities.
“He was talking about finances and said he was getting his teeth done before I could get anything done.
“But he never went to the dentist when I made an appointment.”
The couple split after Fiona became interested in yoga and a healthy lifestyle.
Although she always wanted huge fake breasts, she eventually decided to have an ‘athletic breast augmentation’ as part of a new trend among British women for natural-looking breast enlargements.
She said: “After I started yoga and lost weight, it just didn’t feel right to have big breasts.
“I just wanted more natural looking breasts. There is a change happening, the fake look is out of fashion now.”
Fiona is now super confident and overjoyed with the results and is planning a trip to Benidorm to celebrate.
The student nurse said: “I’m single and ready to date. I even got my nipples pierced.
“And I ordered a few revealing dresses from Shein and bought a few bikinis that I can’t wait to wear.
“I never got any male attention and now I just want to have some fun. My inner Goddess has been released.”
I had a 34DD breast augmentation so my husband wouldn’t leave me… instead it almost killed me
WHEN she posed for her wedding photos, Ionela Ardelean had never felt more confident.
The plunging neckline of her asymmetrical white dress showed off her 34DD implants to perfection, something she was confident her new husband wouldn’t bat an eyelid at.
But that came at a price.
Just a few years later, CCTV operator Ionela was experiencing hair loss, memory loss and heart palpitations so severe she feared she would die.
She says: “I was only 33, but I felt like a fragile 85-year-old. And the culprit was my breast augmentation. I felt like my implants were trying to kill me.”
Ionela, 37, from Bristol, previously a size 34B, always felt embarrassed about her smaller breasts.
She met her husband Vlatko, 40, a warehouse worker, over coffee in July 2015.
In May 2016, Ionela paid £5,000 for a 105-minute treatment at a clinic in the Midlands.
At first she was thrilled with her bigger breasts
Other than some discomfort while running, she had no significant side effects.
But after the birth of their son in October 2019, everything changed. She says: “I was exhausted and overwhelmed. When my son was a few months old, I went to the sauna and after ten minutes I felt sick and faint.
“I developed a crushing headache, limited range of motion, zero energy, and a strange burning sensation in my chest. I spent the night curled up in a ball, silently sobbing, so as not to wake my husband and son.”
Glasgow plastic surgery clinic La Belle Forme, where Fiona had her surgery, reports that so-called ‘athletic breast enlargements’ are becoming increasingly popular.
Alessio Vinci, plastic surgeon at the clinic, said: “Body ideals are changing and we are seeing a clear shift towards a more athletic body type.
“Women are increasingly inspired by the strength and natural appearance of female athletes, leading to a preference for a smaller breast augmentation and/or breast lift.
“A smaller cup size creates a streamlined body, increases self-confidence and at the same time maintains an athletic appearance.”
Fiona feels more confident than ever after her surgery and now wants to celebrate her new breasts with a trip to Benidorm.
