I feel embarrassed at the school gate because of my inappropriate outfits
A mother has revealed her fellow parents abused her for wearing skimpy outfits on the school run.
Debora Peixoto, 32, revealed she was targeted in a WhatsApp group used by mothers at her son’s school.
The Brazilian model wore hot pants and a sports bra on the day in question when she dropped her son off at school at 6 a.m.
Members of the group chat reportedly called her outfit choice “ridiculous” and “clueless.”
Debora decided to hit back at the other mothers and said that a tired mother should not be expected to be fully dressed so early in the morning.
The influencer, who has 684,000 followers on Instagram, added that the mothers should “get some help” and “mind their own business” before ultimately leaving the group chat.

“I work from home and set my own schedule,” she told Need To Know.
“This is the first time I have encountered this kind of situation at my son’s school.
“Some of my followers also said it was inappropriate [clothing] for a school environment, but others defended me and my right to dress the way I want.”
Debora previously ruffled feathers when she went public with her polyamorous marriage to Anderson Peixoto, 61, and Luiza Marcato, 28.
She revealed that she immediately felt a connection with Luiza and asked her husband if they could open up their marriage.
‘When I met her [Luiza]I felt an instant connection,” she previously revealed.
‘I couldn’t ignore what was happening.
“We made our own rules and it works for us.
“Marriage is not just about us as individuals, but about the bond we have built together as a trio.”
The group had a three-way wedding and plans to honeymoon soon.
What to wear during the school run
PTA President Emma Kent’s School Run Style Tips:
- Avoid the gym trap:
- Change out of your workout clothes when you are picked up in the afternoon to avoid looking lazy or unhygienic.
- Leave pajamas at home:
- Never show up to school in your pajamas, as this suggests a lack of effort and can lead to unflattering labels.
- Be careful with bold fashion choices:
- Avoid leopard print leggings and mix boho pieces with animal print. Stick to styles that suit you best.
- Bring an emergency kit:
- Make sure you have a spare top or nice coat in the car for any unexpected spills or stains, and oversized sunglasses to hide eyestrain.
- Embrace bargains:
- Proudly share thrift store finds, but avoid second-hand pajamas or swimwear without hygiene stickers.
- Don’t be a copycat:
- Don’t copy another mother’s style too closely to avoid gossip. Praise the other mother’s taste if this happens accidentally.
- Dress appropriately for age:
- Avoid overly revealing outfits and stick to stylish, non-messy looks, especially if you’re over 35.
- Always wear a bra:
- Make sure you wear a bra to avoid awkward conversations with teachers and unwanted attention.
- Choose jeans carefully:
- Avoid low-rise skinny jeans that create a muffin top. Choose mom jeans for a flattering and comfortable fit.
- Beware of gossip at the school gate:
- Make sure you don’t show up in dirty clothes or with wet hair, because there are always mothers at the gate who will notice.
- Bragging Rights about your bag:
- Use a stylish yet practical tote bag instead of a life bag from the supermarket.
- Ditch Crocs and socks:
- Do not combine Crocs with socks. Choose versatile Chelsea boots for a stylish and comfortable look.
