A mother showed her followers the products she bought for her children.

She revealed that she buys most of her hosiery items from her local B&M.

To save money, she explained that she focuses on a specific type of product.

“I keep an eye out for things in multi-packs that I can open when I get home and divide between them,” she said.

The savvy shopper picked up bath bombs, a multi-pack of chocolates, small sensory toys and a pack of mini Play-Doh.

“Instead of buying two of everything, I’m just going to open the packs and divide them up,” she explained.

The mother said she was “at the point in the year” where she started taking notes about what her daughters needed.

She then used these items to fill their Christmas stockings to the brim.

The budget lover also bought an amazing bath soap from B&M because her daughters ‘love’ it.

She added that the soaps are also “great for play activities too.”

The mother also added a pack of chocolate coins to each stocking.

She joked that it wouldn’t be a Christmas stocking without the festive snack.

As a final addition, she filled two small Christmas-themed jars with hot chocolate powder and mini marshmallows.

Her hack helped her save a significant amount of money on Christmas shopping.

The mum revealed she spent a total of £20 on all the items for both stockings.

How to Save Money on Christmas Shopping

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to save money on your Christmas shopping.

Limit the number of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.

Instead, why not host a Secret Santa among your inner circles so you don’t have to buy multiple presents?

Plan ahead – if you have the stamina and the budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for next year during the January sales.

Make sure you shop for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you don’t spend more than you need to.

Buy on sale on Boxing Day – some retailers are starting their Christmas sales early so you can actually score a bargain before December 25th.

Delivery may cost you a little more, but it could be worth it if the savings are significant.

Shop through outlet stores – you can save a lot of money by shopping through outlet stores such as Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.

They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually the wear and tear is minor.

B&M has had Christmas stocking stuffers available since mid-August.

‘Tis the season for saving,’ reads the snowflake-patterned signs plastered along the aisles at the end of summer, advertising ‘seasonal gifts’ from £5.

Despite the bargains, shoppers shared their frustration with the early ad.

“I absolutely love Christmas, but even I think this is way too early,” one Facebook user wrote.

“It’s too early. It makes it less special because you’re tired of looking at Christmas stuff in December,” someone else agreed.
