I flew to Turkey and came home with Rolexes, Dior and Louis Vuitton
A WOMAN who flew to Turkey for her summer holiday has revealed the ‘designer’ gifts she bought there.
Halle from Edinburgh, Scotland, traveled to Side, Turkey and shared her huge fashion purchase on social media.
She said prices had gone up since her last visit to Turkey and advised people to haggle rather than accept the first price shops offered.
The bargain hunter first showed off a pair of black and white Adidas Sambas that she had bought for just €25.
They normally cost £90, but she compared them with those of a friend who had had the real day and couldn’t see any difference.
Halle also bought a gorgeous pair of beige Christian Dior sandals for just €10 and 15 pairs of Nike socks for just €5.
She also treated herself to some new jewelry, including a copy of the Cartier Love ring with diamonds on the band for €10.
“I love it and honestly I don’t have the money for the real one,” she added.
And that’s not all: she managed to get her hands on a beautiful silver Rolex watch for just €35. She said the quality was excellent for the price.
She then showed off the many designer bags she had bought and said she had bought them at a huge discount: she bought two for €50.
The first thing she bought was a black Marc Jacobs clutch and a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag with red piping and the classic monogram fabric.
“I fell in love with it. It was the red color that sold it to me,” she said, adding that she got a matching card holder for $5.
Next up was a €35 Chloe gym bag, which had a cream canvas body and brown leather straps.
The last bag Halle bought was a white YSL shoulder bag with matching strap for €5.
The clip she posted on her TikTok account @lifemetalle4 went viral with over 490,000 views and 21,000 likes.
People were quick to respond to the comments which were full of her loot.
How to spot fake designer goods
It is more difficult than ever to distinguish the genuine product from a counterfeit.
Nowadays, counterfeit clothing, bags and jewelry are almost identical to the real thing, making it harder to spot the differences.
Clemmie Fieldsend gives you tips on how to recognize whether your purchases are fake or legitimate.
Bags:
- Genuine designer bags do not come with authenticity cards
- No labels may be attached to the bag, these are usually supplied with the receipt or included in the packaging.
- Designer bags usually have a serial number
- The bag should look and feel good quality. Check that the stitching is even, that the material is neat, that the edges do not fray and that the colours match clearly.
Watches:
- A truly high-end watch will feel heavy due to the high-quality materials
- The second hand movement on the watch should not be stiff
- The model name and serial number of a counterfeit product may be used on all of its components rather than on individual parts
- Check the official brand and compare it with an original model if you can.
- The fine details won’t be as refined, including placement and spacing etc.
Sunglasses:
- Designer sunglasses lenses should be of superior quality. Know what you are buying. Classic Ray-Ban designs, for example, are made of glass.
- Fake frames feel lighter than real frames
- Watch out for stiff or loose hinges

“What a great, detailed video and bargains!” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “I’m going next week, hoping to get a nice Dior bag and the Sambas!”
“I will always buy fake stuff from Turkey because I will NEVER spend the real thing,” claimed a fifth.
