I found a brand new fashion item in the colour of the season for just £3
KEEPING UP WITH the latest trends can be expensive – but not when you shop secondhand.
And second hand fashion Expert Paula Brannigan bagged a brand new autumn 2024 staple in this season’s must-have colour for just £3.
The good cause shop pro, 33, regularly shares her second-hand purchases and sustainable outfit creations on social media (@brantastic_x).
Lanarkshire fashion designer Paula says she’s on a mission to “make second-hand trendy”.
And one of the bargain Hunter’s recent finds will have other fashion lovers flocking to their nearest thrift store.
Paula, who revealed her latest haul from Salvation Army shops in Hamilton And Mother Source as well as the Cancer Research store in Motherwell, said: “I bought these really cool, chunky Mary Jane-style shoes.”
She added: “Chocolate brown is one of the colours for the season. I have a lot of things in my wardrobe in a chocolate brown.
“These are great shoes to wear with and I don’t think they’ve been worn once – for £3 which is amazing.”
It’s not the only great deal Paula picked up during her shopping trip.
She was also ‘delighted’ to have bagged a sleeveless white T-shirt from luxury brand Kos for just £2.
Meanwhile, her ‘bargain of the day’ was a household item she had been eyeing for some time.
Paula said, “I have this Goodman’s file player in the most amazing condition for £10.
“Mine mom I had seen it and I had said I wanted one. I had also talked to my friend about which one to get because he has one. He said I should get one with a speaker.
“I wanted one with a speaker that you can connect to Bluetooth – and this does it all for a tenner.”
The thrift store expert plans to recycle the turntable to suit her decor.
She added: “It’s black and silver – I’m going to take all these little bits off and add gold to it because my house is gold, but can you even believe that?
“Now I just need to get some vinyls. They’re reserved for Arctic Monkeys, Adele and Taylor Swift because I can’t spend any money money on vinyl for everyone because they are expensive.
“That was my truly fantastic bargain of the day.”
