I found a sugar daddy 30 years older – it was about money but now we are in love
A WOMAN who fell in love with her sugar daddy claims her attraction to his money led to a priceless relationship.
Nova Hawthorne, 29, has been together with her partner James, 63, for five years after they met online.
The Melbourne, Australia model was showered with gifts as her older boyfriend spent huge sums of money on her happiness.
But it soon grew into something bigger and the big age difference didn’t bother her.
Nova said: “There was chemistry from the start, even on the first night he was a customer and I was an employee.
“Then it became clear to me in the first few weeks that he understood me – he ‘saw’ me as I was – and at that moment the whole story fell into place very easily.
“The more time we spent together and discussed all the important topics, the more I felt attracted to him.
“We talked about the environment, our political views, conversations about society and people, we talked about justice and injustice.
“The more we talked, the more it became clear to me that this man was not only a good person, but also someone I could get along with.
“What attracted me was his intellect and humanity.”
Meanwhile, Carol Kirkwood talks about her newfound love and the 14-year age difference with her husband Steve.
The 62-year-old BBC Breakfast star married police officer Steve Randall, 48, in an intimate ceremony last year.
But after receiving “a few comments” about the age difference between them, Carol told The Express: “If our ages were reversed, no one would ever say it.”
The weatherman met the serving police officer about seven years ago.
That happened after her 25-year marriage to Scottish businessman Jimmy Kirkwood ended in 2008.
Of her first marriage she said: “Unfortunately it all ended that way and we both moved on with our lives.”
The presenter is one of eight children and comes from a large family. She always wanted children, but she was unable to get pregnant by her first husband.
Carol added: “I’ve wanted to be a mother since I was a child. And we tried everything. But it just never happened and no one could tell us why. But I have a lot of nieces and nephews that I adore.”
Despite the failure of her first marriage, Carol found love again with police officer Steve.
And she said enthusiastically, “He’s kind, he’s intelligent, he makes me laugh – and he’s very handsome.”
The couple married in a “romantic” and intimate ceremony last December, after getting engaged in 2022.
She added: “It was so romantic, a small intimate wedding. I wouldn’t change a thing. Best thing I’ve ever done.”
