In a message at Redditshe explained that she had picked up some warning signs from her husband that made her think something was going on.
Not only was he “unusually secretive with his phone”, and seemed “increasingly distant and emotionally unavailable”, but also had a “drastic change in working hours”.
“I should have noticed these signs earlier, but I was blindsided by how quickly things escalated,” she added.
“My husband expressed dissatisfaction and felt distant, but I never thought it would lead to that.”
She eventually checked his phone and discovered explicit messages and photos of her younger sister there – before learning the affair had been going on for more than a year.
And what made matters worse was how close she was to her sister.
“We shared everything from personal secrets to major life decisions,” she said.
When she confronted her husband, he admitted he had cheated on her, claiming he “felt neglected and thought the affair was an escape from his dissatisfaction.”
He also called it a “temporary lapse in judgment,” but she insisted his apology sounded “hollow and insincere.”
“How can I believe that this was merely an error in judgment when he actively chose to betray me over such a long period of time?” she mused.
Her sister also apologized, but said she was just having “fun” with him, claiming it only happened “two or three times.”
“Honestly, this makes me even angrier,” she continued.
‘Only three times? Come on, who believes that? If it had only been once, I still wouldn’t have been able to forgive them.
“The fact that she’s trying to downplay it as a ‘fun’ affair only makes it worse.
‘How could she think it was acceptable to get involved with my husband?
“And how could they both downplay such a grave betrayal?”

They start taking their phones everywhere
In close relationships, it is normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones. If their phone habits change, they may be hiding something.
Aaron says, “If your partner starts changing his password, taking his phone everywhere, even around the house, or if he gets defensive when you ask to use his phone, this could be a sign that he’s not being faithful. “

Your partner’s libido can change for a variety of reasons, so it may not be a sure sign of cheating, but Aaron says it can be a warning sign.
Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but occasionally they may also have more sex at home. This is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will introduce new things into your sex life that were not there before.”
They become negative towards you
Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and for them it will feel good. This can cause tension and anxiety within themselves that they will have to justify.
“To release the tension they feel inside, they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and out of nowhere become critical of you. Maybe you didn’t walk the dog that day, do the dishes, or do a book read. Book to your children before bed. Since discovering the affair, her sister has moved out of town to give her “space”, but she said: “I will definitely leave my husband because he no longer deserves my trust or devotion”.
