I found the best knitwear dupe at Primark, it’s £56 cheaper and looks identical
A fashion expert has revealed she found the perfect knit imitation at Primark – and it’s £56 cheaper than the more expensive version.
Monique Palombo regularly shares her fashion purchases and outfit choices on social media (@moniquepalombo), where she has nearly 500,000 followers.
During a recent shopping trip, the 26-year-old from Glasgow headed to her local Primark to pick up an autumn essential.
The Boxy Knitted T-shirt costs £11 and is available in sizes XXS to XL.
Monique bought hers in a neutral oatmeal color, but the sweater is also available in gray.
According to Primark bosses, it has “the comfortable feel of a knitwear garment, but with the freedom of short sleeves and a relaxed fit”.
They added: “Crafted from a soft knit fabric, this tee has a relaxed yet stylish fit, perfect for any casual occasion.
“The neutral tone makes it versatile and easy to combine with your favorite jeans, skirts or shorts. Thanks to the short sleeves and the classic round neckline, it combines comfort with timeless elegance.
“The knitted texture adds a unique touch, keeping you comfortable and chic all day long. Ideal for layering or wearing on its own, this knitted tee is a must-have addition to your wardrobe!”
Fashion expert Monique was so pleased with her purchase that she couldn’t resist comparing it to the & Other Stories version (which costs £56 more) that she already wears in a short clip.
The Alpaca Blend Knit Top, priced at £67, is currently sold out in the colour oatmeal.
So it’s the perfect time to score those bargains at Primark.
Monique said: “I went shopping recently and bought some really nice autumn items on the high street.
“All of these pieces are such a good price, so I thought I’d share them with you. So first up, this little knit from Primark.
“I have this one from & Other Stories and it’s basically identical.
“So this was £11 and the one I have was about [£70] and I think if you’re looking for this style but you don’t want to spend too much money on it [£70] This is a great alternative.
“It literally looks the same and I’m sure they come in other colors too.”
Model and content creator Monique previously told the Scottish Sun how she financed her jet-setting lifestyle through TikTok.
After seeing the success of her fashion posts, she said, “It’s been funding my whole lifestyle for a number of years now.
“Vacation, I recently bought a new car and went to a lot of places.
“I was in America last year with my family, I went to Paris and Dubai. I went on a brand trip to Ibiza last year with my agency, so social media has given me so many opportunities that I normally wouldn’t have.”
TV fans may recognise the beautiful brunette from the reality series The Agency: Unfiltered, which aired its second season on BBC Scotland earlier this year.
The new series followed again Aquarius CreativeScotland’s largest influencer agency, its founders Kirsten Cameron and Amy Moore and their clients.
In just one year, the first and second seasons of the series have collectively reached more than 1 million streams.
The best Primark buys for fall 2024
Fall has arrived and it’s time to stock up on our cozy wardrobe.
Here, Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals her top 5 Primark buys this autumn.
I know what you’re thinking: ‘£60 for Primark?’ Yes, it’s more expensive than we’re used to from Primark, but it’s worth every penny.
This one is from their Edit range, which is more expensive than the rest of their collection and is built to last.
It is a wool blend that is durable and warm, and has a timeless straight silhouette that is slightly oversized and will last not only this season but also beyond.
Extra large crocodile shopper, £16
Big bags are back… Finally, in a big way.
This bag exudes luxury with its croc effect and dark orange colour. Plus it’s ideal for carrying your laptop, lunch, change of shoes, bag – basically everything you need for the day. And all for £16.
Field jackets are very popular this season with celebrities and catwalk models. Designer brands like Barbour, Burberry and Bottega wear the utilitarian look.
They are great to wear over jeans or as a contrast to a floral or flowy dress. They are also the perfect in-between jacket.
Square Neck Leopard Print Midi Dress, £18,
You’ve probably seen, heard and read that leopard print won’t go away at all in the fall. To illustrate the trend, this dress is a must-have.
Sleeves? Check. Midi length? Check. Ultra-flattering square neck? Check. It’s got it all.
Pair it with black over-the-knee boots or your favorite sneakers during the day and go for a chic look in the evening with gold heels and accessories.
Barrel-shaped, balloon-shaped, horseshoe-shaped – whatever you call them, they are this season’s must-have trouser styles.
I tried on a pair from Primark and they fit great, are comfortable and flattering.
So if you think you don’t have anything that meets the fashion, you can trade in your favorite denim for this model and be completely up-to-date again.
