In summer, many fashion lovers choose to choose their linen clothing for chic, breathable outfits.
Washing delicate fabrics can be a hassle, but this cleaning pro has the solution.
Lance Millet, product care expert at clothing brand Raging Bull, shared his top tips for keeping linens clean.
Millet said temperature is the first step when it comes to linens.
“You should never wash your linen at a temperature higher than 30 degrees Celsius, as this can cause the fabric to shrink,” the researcher said.
Linen shirts are best washed on the delicate cycle of the washing machine or by hand in lukewarm water.
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
HOW does Primark do it? Keep delivering on-trend items at such unbelievable prices? According to bosses, it comes down to four things.
- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to them they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- Although their clothes represent the “latest trends”, “they do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And finally, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like “asking suppliers to package our t-shirts so they can go straight on the shelves.”

“Many people don’t realize that linen is resistant to bacteria because it does not retain moisture.
“This means that it does not attract unpleasant odours and therefore does not need to be washed at a high temperature to be thoroughly cleaned.”
Millet gave his tips for cleaning linen properly.
“Linen shirts should always be ironed inside out and on a medium temperature to avoid accidental damage,” he said.
Meanwhile, one woman shared her free, simple trick to getting rid of wrinkles.
Rach explained that she uses a spray bottle with “just water,” though she added that she sometimes adds “essential oils to make it smell nice.” Nice but you don’t have to do that.”
