I gave my old, messy caravan a makeover with free stuff from Facebook and purchases from IKEA
A WOMAN has revealed how she gave an old, shabby caravan a major makeover without it costing her a lot of money.
Erica, a mum from the UK, bought a 2004 Lunar Lexon caravan that was in need of an update. Since then she has transformed the caravan from drab to fantastic, all on a budget.
The DIY enthusiast posted on social media, giving her followers an up-close look inside the bus before its massive renovation.
She then left people with mouths open as she showed off the impressive caravan, thanks to freebies and bargains on the high street.
Alongside the clip of her tiny home on wheels, Erica wrote: “Check out the colourful makeover of our old caravan into a vibrant, recycled oasis!
“We renewed the walls, cabinets, handles and floors and added colorful decorations.”

She added: “Everything is recycled and reused!”
What was once a very dated space, lacking any personality with its boring brown cabinets, old carpeting and green sofas, has now undergone a complete renovation new lookand is now the ultimate colorful caravan.
Erica opened up to Fabulous about her budget renovation, confirming she used Crown dark grey, white and turquoise paint to brighten up the caravan.
She also used gold cabinet pulls from Amazon and gold vinyl tiles for the bathroom, also from Amazon, to really make the space pop.
Erica purchased her currently all-fashion parquet-effect vinyl flooring from Factory Direct Flooring and replaced the smoked glass cabinet doors with moldings from an old radiator cover she got for free from Facebook Marketplace.
One thing that really transformed the space were the navy blue chair covers that Erica ordered online from Shein.
Thanks to Amazon’s backsplash wallpaper and Facebook Marketplace taps, the kitchen is now completely unrecognizable.
Erica also provided the caravan with a new sink from Victoria Plum, a wooden chopping block and kitchen utensils from IKEA.
