Reddit user Halloemily2 shared the beauty tip in a post.

“At the Dollar Tree, I use the white microfiber cloths you get in the auto section (meant for polishing and washing the car) to remove my makeup,” she said.

She explained that the clothes worked just as well as more expensive makeup erasers.

“They are so soft and are the inexpensive version of makeup wipes,” she said.

“But they are huge and you can get a lot of them for the price of one makeup wipe.

“I use the whole cloth itself or I cut it into pieces and sew them into smaller circles to remove my eye makeup.”

The Makeup Eraser, a makeup remover wipe, costs $20 at Sephora.

While the microfiber cloth promises to remove all makeup with just water, the Redditor explained that a $1.25 product from Dollar Tree, which is 15 times cheaper, does the exact same thing.

Fans of the Dollar Tree microfiber cloth reported using it for other purposes as well.

“I use them in my SPA and they are so incredibly soft. I couldn’t believe it myself haha,” said one.

“Extremely soft and a great price. They wash and dry really well too,” said another.

“Great towels for everyday use,” said a third.

“Great for washing the car, cleaning up spills, dusting, wiping down towels, etc!”

One reviewer added that the cloths were thick and warm enough to use as blankets when rescuing animals.

“I work as a wildlife rehabilitator and I use these for baby squirrels, rabbits, and more!” they said.

“They all love these ‘blankets’, which are so nice and warm. Plus they are just the right size for my nest boxes!

“Even better is the white color, so I can check the color of the baby’s stool and thus determine the baby’s health.

“They are also stain resistant and can be easily cleaned with soap and water in a small tub by hand or with cold water in the washing machine and dryer on a low setting.”
