“She is the organized mother of the class who is always ready. If you need anything, you can go to her.”

I’m a savvy shopper and I’ve found the best end of year gifts for teachers at Home Bargains – they start from just £1.99

“The teachers will each have about £150 worth of Bluewater gift vouchers,” Cara said.

She described the setup as “perfect” and “much better” than each parent doing their own thing.

Need to buy a gift for a teacher?

IF you’re wondering whether to get your child’s teacher an end of year gift, look no further…

With the summer holidays fast approaching, Sarah Bull, Senior Digital Writer at Fabulous and mother of two, explains whether you should feel obliged to buy your children’s teachers a gift to celebrate the end of the school year.

Sarah said: “It can be quite a challenge to keep the children entertained during the six weeks they are out of school.

But before the school year is over, parents across the country are also trying to budget for gifts for their children’s teachers.

“When you have to buy in teachers, teaching assistants, special educational needs specialists and other beloved staff members, it can be an expensive proposition.

“And while many schools actively discourage parents from spending their money on end-of-year gifts for teachers, I consider it an obligation.

“I know how difficult my children can be at home and their teachers have to watch them most of the day. Don’t they deserve some appreciation?

“I also don’t want my children to feel left out when their friends arrive at school with presents for their teachers.

“While some parents go all out with gifts, with alcohol and flowers being popular choices, I will do my best to stick to the £5 for each of the four staff members I buy something for.

“And with some fantastic options in stores like Poundland, Home Bargains and B&M, it should be easy for me to stay within my budget.”

“Don’t give them junk, they look after your children all year round, give them something decent, they don’t want junk,” Cara said.

She added that the group gift can be used for multiple options, not just store vouchers.

Teachers previously shared some of the gifts they least like to receive from students.

One employee took to her TikTok page to show off which holiday season items she no longer wears.

She listed cups, homemade artwork, and school shirts as her least favorite things.
