You don’t have to spend a fortune to stock your wardrobe with expensive brands, as one mother proved.
Jessie showed how she bought a pair of “beaten up” Converse shoes for her son on Vinted for £2, but made them look as good as new with a cheap trick.

On her @reis_met_jessie account, she showed the children’s shoes that looked muddy and in need of a makeover DLC Time.
She shared: “This week I bought some worn out Converse shoes for my son on Vinted and decided to recycle them a little.”
She first gave them a scrub using The Pink Put the paste in and grab her miracle cure: Milton Sterilising Tablets.
While they are typically used by parents to sterilize baby bottles, teethers and spoons, Jessie showed how they can also be used to clean items.
Jessie dissolved two tablets in water and let the shoes soak for a few hours before putting them in the washing machine.
She explains: “First I took some Pink Stuff paste and scrubbed the shoes thoroughly.
“Then I took two Milton tablets, dissolved them in a cup of water and soaked the laces to whiten them.
“Then I filled a bowl with warm water, added a few more Milton tablets and a capful of Formil non-biological detergent.
“I put the shoes in the mixture and let them soak for two hours, along with the laces.
“After they were soaked, I put them in the washing machine for 15 minutes at 40 degrees.”
She told how she had let the shoes dry and put the laces back in, and that they now looked ‘refreshed’ again.
Jessie concluded: “You don’t have to break the bank for good quality shoes.
“I DON’T BUY new. If I can get something on Vinted for a fraction of the price and fix it up myself, I always will.
“There is no shame in second-hand goods.”
