I got engaged to an 80-year-old father, only to find out he was trying to get someone pregnant
A WOMAN who became engaged to a father of 80 children was left heartbroken when she discovered he was trying to get someone else pregnant.
Kyle Gordy, 32, is known as the biological father of 80 children around the world.
He met Annika Phillips, 39, while appearing on the hit reality TV series 90 Day Fiancé, which aired from April to June 2024.
The pair initially hit it off, but after a few weeks in paradise they called it quits – and now she admits their short-lived engagement was a ‘nightmare’.
“The main reason I called off our engagement was so he wouldn’t consider stopping sperm donations to other women,” she sighed.
“He still wanted to help people get pregnant, artificially or naturally, and that made it very difficult for us to move forward.

“For me it was a bit difficult because I often feared being judged and we argued quite a bit about his donation.
“I knew deep down he couldn’t give up… it was a nightmare from start to finish.”
Annika, a programmer from Germany, first started talking to Kyle when she contacted him via Instagram in early 2023 looking for his services.
But when she first spoke to him over a video call, she claims there was a ‘spark’, and she fell ‘deeper’ for him as they chatted for hours before going to bed.
The couple first met in person in Malta in June 2023, where their first official date for the show was filmed.
However, she then discovered that Kyle had been keeping a secret.
“I thought we were in a committed relationship when I first met him in person,” Annika said NeedToKnow.
“But then he told me that he had performed a personal insemination the week before.
“I was outraged and hurt.
“My feelings were crushed and I couldn’t believe he had actually lied to me.”
How do you become a sperm donor?
COUPLES struggling to have a baby of their own, or same-sex families, may need the help of a sperm donation.
A sperm donor must undergo a number of tests before donating.
According to CoParent.nlcenters may require donors to:
- Be between 18 and 41 years old
- Agree to be screened for medical conditions
- Be free from any serious medical disability or sexually transmitted diseases
- Be healthy and fit
- Know and provide information about their family’s medical history (parents, grandparents, siblings and children)
- Have no hereditary conditions in their family
- Do not use medications
- Agree that their ID may be released upon request of a person conceived as a result of their donations once that person reaches the age of 18
- Provide proof of identity (copy of their passport or driver’s license)
- Be willing to commit their time to the sperm donation process
- Ensure high sperm quality (motility, number and shape).

To make matters worse, Kyle lacked “manners”, but told Annika that she had “a point system where he would judge me on how I behaved”.
“If I didn’t get enough points, there would be no kisses of affection for me,” she added.
While when it came to his own appearance, he was “sloppy and rude”, even continuing to “adjust his buttocks in public”.
After being engaged for eight months, they broke things off after a “huge fight” at the end of filming.

Although they started talking again a few months later, they are solid platonic friends, without any romance.
At the end of filming, after about eight months of being engaged, they officially broke things off after a “huge fight.”
However, a few months later the couple started talking again.
And now they are good friends and want to be there for each other; even if it’s not romantic.
“Since we became friends, all I want is for him to be happy,” Annika concluded.
“I’m also trying to make him a better person for a potential girlfriend as he seems to be very unhappy due to his difficult lifestyle.
“Even though we are not training, I still wish him all the best.”
Kyle offers his services for free to help struggling families conceive. Interested parties can contact him via his Instagram.
He also manages the website Been pregnant now and had taken a break from donating late last year, before returning in January for just a “select few” women.
He currently has fifteen children and has even given up masturbating to ensure a healthy sperm count, but he is still looking for the right woman – who should accept his controversial hobby.
“Finding love is obviously difficult because of my circumstances,” he said.
“But I am confident it will happen.
“It’s a shame that things didn’t work out with Annika, but I value our friendship and appreciate the advice she gives me.”
