I got so drunk at the office Christmas party that I threw up in my male boss’s hand

For some people, it is a great opportunity to take advantage of free food and drinks offered by the company. What can go wrong?

Well, apparently quite a bit, because one woman has shared her embarrassing work party story – and it’s possibly one of the scariest stories out there.

Annie O’Quigley, who posts under the username, took to TikTok to confess @annieoquigley – describes what started as a seemingly innocent start to a festive party with her colleagues.

Her work had arranged a chic 12-course tasting menu in a private room at the London restaurant Frog, where she and some colleagues had traveled by minibus.

However, she said wine was served with every dish, which led to her being “absolutely shocked”.

Annie admitted she couldn’t even remember the second course and was told to be carried out of the venue into the minibus – which would take half the staff back to Kent.

“I threw up on myself. The smell of my patients from the twelve corridors was so rancid that the colleagues behind me got sick from the smell of my patients,” she said.

In her drunken state, she was aware that she had to be discreet in case the minibus driver threw them off the bus, leaving her and her colleagues in central London.

“I tried to be sick quietly, or what I thought was sick quietly, based on what I was told,” she said.

“I went to my friend – my boss at the time – ‘sshh, no one will know’ while I was sick in his hand, in the bag, everywhere.”

However, things got worse when the minivan stopped at a gas station and Annie’s boss decided to wash her off, but accidentally used windshield washer fluid instead of water.

‘So I sat in a tight-fitting black dress, with heels and make-up, as I was washed away.

“Not only was I covered in disease, I was covered in windshield washer fluid,” she said.

Adding to the hilarity, her boss’s sister was also there and decided to get out of the minivan while Annie was being washed away, but this only made her sick.

“So now several people are sick from the stench of my patients,” she said in disbelief.

The minibus journey took another 45 minutes and she says she doesn’t know at this point whether she was crying or laughing.

Once home, she somehow managed to get to sleep, and remembers waking up the next morning with her dress stuck to her by the windshield washer fluid, her hair covered in sick — and the dreaded feeling of hangxie .

“I looked at my phone and my other boss, who was not in the minivan but was told about the trip, got a text on the workgroup chat saying, ‘Annie, you are a disgrace.’

“And then she sent the message — I think because my other boss, my boyfriend, knew the state of anxiety I would be in,” she revealed.

To add to the embarrassing ordeal, one of her colleagues even posted an Instagram story of Annie getting washed.

It doesn’t seem to have left a lasting impression, however, as she ended her post by saying that she hopes someone has another video of the night because of how incredible the story is.

“I didn’t get fired, I worked there for another year or so,” Annie admitted.

“But hey, unless you get washed out in central London, causing your other colleagues to get sick from the stench of your sick – then I don’t think there’s a Christmas staff shaming story that can match that!” she added.
