I have an awesome high heel hack that’s perfect for weddings – it’s a game changer and so handy
A MODE fan has revealed her brilliant trick for fixing slipping heels – and it’s perfect for weddings.
TikTok user @zevenagh recently shared the clever trick with her followers.
Sevenagh made her own anklet by threading a string of pearls through the back of the heel, creating a small circle that her ankle fit into.
She explains: “I don’t like wedge heels because they fall off my feet. That’s why I’m going to make an ankle strap myself.”
“I don’t know if it will work, but I hope it will.
“This is a vision I have in my head. It could burst.”
Then Sevenagh steps back to proudly show off her creation.
She said, “Yeah, it does work.”
“I just don’t like slingbacks – they stay on my feet. See? Handy.”
Impressed customers responded enthusiastically to the comments and shared their appreciation – and their own tips and tricks.
One user said: “Women in STEM! Awesome.”
Another added: “Fantastic dress.”
Someone else commented: “Use a ribbon, girl! Works wonders.”
And another TikToker @thekittenjam came up with her own idea.
She said, “I wanted to show you my little trick that allows me to wear these slingbacks even though my feet for some reason can’t hold up swingbacks.
“They just fall. I’ve even gotten them inside once and they just fall down.
“It’s not pretty, I’m not going to lie, it’s not a pretty trick.
“But it does work if I want to wear them with pants.”
She then took a strap from another shoe and used it to make an ankle strap on the heel.
She said, “I put on the slingbacks, a strap from another pair of shoes that I have, and I attach that to the slingback. Then I cover the strap.
“See? That’s my little, questionable trick for wearing these slingbacks now.”
Then the fashion fan shouted, “Yay!”
