THE second time was the charm for an apartment dweller who didn’t let setbacks stop him from creating a garden on his balcony.

They had learned their lesson and had even employed a trick to improve their gardening skills.

Reddit user Important-banana told how they hoped that some adjustments would make things better.

“I’m so happy with my balcony that we finally got it up yesterday!” they said.

They shared some of the problems they had previously encountered when planting.

“This is my second season in this apartment,” they explained.

“Last season we didn’t harvest much because we were on the third floor and there was a lot of crosswind, which caused a lot of damage to the plants,” they continued.

“The all-metal railing presented a challenge because it was demagnetized.”

They did not give up and had a new planting plan ready.

“We installed a clear plastic barrier to reduce wind and attached a wooden trellis to the railing with cable ties to secure the containers to the wall,” the workers said.

The photo they shared showed more than a dozen plants hanging from the new wall.

They’ve also decorated the outside area with larger potted plants and furniture, so you can sit back and enjoy the view.

“Now I just have to wait and see how everything grows!” they said.

Inspired to spruce up your own backyard? Home Depot is selling a solid North American cherry trellis panel for $140.81.

The panel is made of furniture grade North American hardwood.

The piece to be trimmed can be shortened to fit any space.

Because it has square edges, it can also be painted.

Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
