I Have ‘Super Long’ Hair – I Avoid a Common Rule and Swear by 5 Tips
A WOMAN with waist-length hair has revealed the secret to growing long, healthy stems.
She shared her five best tips and a rule she often avoids.
In her viral videoTikTok user Nitya (@nityamadabhushi) told her followers all about her hair care routine.
She explained that she swears by five simple steps to grow her hair “super long.”
For her first hack, Nitya shared that she regularly oils her locks to nourish them.
She specifically recommended rosemary oil, advising her audience to apply it to the ends of their hair every night before bed.
She then explained why she ignores the rule that you shouldn’t brush your hair when it’s wet.
“[Curly] “Hair thrives in water. In fact, if you brush it when it’s dry, it’s more likely to break than if you brush it when it’s wet,” she said.
Her next tip was to invest in a silk cap or pillowcase.
“I have noticed that my hair is much shinier in the morning and it is not completely stripped of moisture, which is the case with cotton pillowcases,” says Nitya.
She also recommended braiding your hair after oiling to avoid friction.
Nitya advised her followers to double cleanse their skin before oiling to avoid product build-up.
She explained that your hair gets “much better” if you wash it twice.
In her last hack, Nitya emphasized the importance of scalp stimulation.
She explained that she uses a scalp scrub to remove dirt and massage in hair oil.
Her followers shared their thoughts on the advice in the comments.
“Hair oil and a silk cap have drastically changed my life in South Asia,” wrote one viewer.
