A MAN has left many confused after revealing he impregnated another woman at the same time as another man, meaning his twins have different biological fathers.
On TikTok, Eric Vaugh-Trainor (@mrvaughntrainor) posted a video of his adorable twin girls, Harlow and Monroe, playing with their sweet puppy in the living room.

He said, “When you realize that two years ago, two men got the same woman pregnant at the same time, and now you’re the father of twins.”
People scratched their heads at the message and within a few hours the message had been viewed no less than 2.8 million times.
TikTok users rushed to the video’s comments section to express their confusion over Eric’s remark.

A second person said, “Well… explain it to me, because I’m lost.”
A third person said, “Sir… I ask for your deepest forgiveness?”
A fourth person added: “This sounds like a soap opera.
“There needs to be a plot twist: neither of you is yours.”
In a second video, Eric clarified the situation with an explanation.
He said, “I’d like to tell a story about how my husband and I got the same woman pregnant at the same time, while her husband sat in the room and watched.”
Eric explained that he and his husband had been unable to adopt a child and had therefore decided to opt for surrogacy instead.
They found an egg donor and when she collected her eggs, half of her eggs went to Eric and the other half went to his husband.
The eggs were then fertilized, genetically tested and then frozenwhile the couple waited to find a surrogate mother.
When they found a surrogate, Eric and his husband were in the room when the embryos were placed in her womb and she became pregnant.
What is surrogacy?
Surrogacy is a form of pregnancy in which one woman carries and gives birth to another woman’s child.
The surrogate mother is then expected to give up the child at birth so that it can be raised by the couple who originally wanted the child.
Surrogacy is often an option for people who cannot have children of their own, or for same-sex couples.
According to a surrogacy charity Overcoming Childlessness Through Surrogacy (COTS)There are two different types of surrogacy.
- Traditional surrogacy: When the surrogate mother uses her own egg, fertilized with the sperm of the intended father.
- Surrogacy: The surrogate mother carries the genetic child of the intended parent, conceived through IVF. This requires specialized doctors.
How are surrogate mothers conceived?
In traditional surrogacy procedures, the egg is artificially inseminated using a syringe.
Surrogacy is performed through IVF.
In vitro fertilization involves retrieving the egg from the woman’s ovaries and fertilizing it with sperm in a laboratory.
The embryo is then placed in the surrogate mother’s uterus, where it can grow and develop.
This procedure must be performed by specialized doctors and it is necessary that the biological mother still has functioning ovaries.
The embryos then grew into twins, one of which was genetically Eric’s and the other was genetically his husband’s.
This means that the two twins are biologically half-siblings.
Eric said, “Technically, there were three different DNA pieces in her at the same time.
“Her husband had the best sense of humor in the world, considering his wife was carrying two babies from two different men.”
