I humiliate thousands of men as a dominatrix, but I don’t have sex with them
As I stood in the kitchen cooking dinner for my sons, I couldn’t be more pleased.
Later, my fiancée Owen will join me, Callum, four, and 19-year-old Tom, for dinner and talking about our days.
It’s a scene playing out all over Britain.
But I doubt many other women have spent their workday the same way I have.
Over the past four years I have combined family life and school career with my day job as a tough dominatrix.
As Queen Tricks – my working name – I humiliate and dominate men.

I whip them, insult them and even tread on them with my black, thigh-high PVC boots.
Sometimes I meet them in person at a local dungeon that I rent.
It is custom built and called the Scarlet Dungeon, although it has a vibrant purple hue.
It is rented out to many dominatrixes and contains a bed you can tie people to, a large cage and a swing.
I pay £40 per session per hour, but my client foots the bill.
At other times I work online from a soundproof studio in the garden of our five-bedroom house in Southampton.
I do not touch my clients sexually. I keep my clothes on and the only time they are allowed to touch is by licking my boots.
When I see clients online, I brandish a whip, pretend to slap them, or order them to hit their mouthguards.
It is lucrative work and I can earn up to €12,000 per month.
The most I’ve earned in a day was £6,000 when a man kept tipping me online, straight into my bank account.
I’m not materialistic, so I don’t buy designer handbags or shoes.
Instead, I pay the money for family outings and treats, or I save it.
In addition to Owen’s work as a business consultant, we are fortunate to live comfortably and are planning a trip to Jamaica to celebrate my 40th next year.
But I don’t just do it for the money; I love my work and I find it empowering.
And I feel no reason to hide what I do.
Even Owen’s 95-year-old grandmother knows it.
I was first introduced to being a dominatrix eight years ago, with Owen’s full support.
In fact it was Owen who chose the name Queen Tricks and said it would suit me.
We’ve been together since I met through friends when I was 18, and we’ve always made decisions together.
My best friend was a very successful dom and kept telling me how much money I could make.
Even though I had a good job in finance at the time, I decided to give it a try. I was intrigued and felt I would be good at it.
But I didn’t have the time to really go for it at the time, so I stopped after a few months.
Only in the last four years have I done it full time.
I got Callum and then got fired from my recruitment job, so it all fell into place.
I wanted a job that the boys could fit in well and I liked the idea of being my own boss.
I’ve done a lot of soul searching.
It was a big change from my business life and I was concerned about the impact on the boys.
But I talked to Tom, who at 16 was old enough to know about it.
I made it clear that it wasn’t sexual, but if he had been against it, I wouldn’t have done it.
Luckily he was on board and now he even does some of my social media.
His friends also know what I do and are fascinated by it.
Their generation has a different mentality.
They grew up with OnlyFans and influencer culture. They are more tolerant.
There are dominatrix courses and my boyfriend, who has been professionally trained for six months, taught me all the languages and acronyms.
When a man asks for SPH, it means ‘small penis humiliation’.
She also taught me how to inflict physical pain on men without injuring them.
There are parts of the body that you cannot step on, for example part of the stomach.
Stay away from the liver as you can damage it.
But still, it was terrifying and surreal to do it in real life.
The first time I was so nervous that my hands were sweating.
‘NATURAL ASSERTIVE’
I had signed up to a platform and done a few sessions online before my first client, who was in his 60s, came to the dungeon and served me.
He liked to wear a hood and a chastity belt and adored my boots.
I was convinced I would forget everything my friend had taught me, but I quickly got used to it and it is now second nature.
Although my sex life with Owen is vanilla, I am naturally assertive.
When I started, I had to work very long hours.
I often got up before the boys to spend some time camming foreign clients before going to school and daycare.
I did more during the day and in the evening I went back to my studio.
Now I have a lot of regular clients, from construction workers to lawyers, so I mainly work during school hours.
Some men are married and cam behind their wives’ backs, which I don’t feel guilty about since there is no physical contact.
But sometimes it is with the permission of their partner, because they want to outsource that side of their lives.
Some people like to be locked in chastity cages – a kind of ‘penis prison’, where they can’t touch themselves or get an erection.
That’s the only time I touch their genitals – to lock them up.
Their girlfriends sometimes ask me to do it, with their guy’s permission, to keep them from cheating.
I charge £1,000 a month for that pleasure and, in case you’re wondering, there’s a hole they can use to go to the toilet.
I always make men sign legal contracts stating what they want. It’s important to protect myself.
We have safe words that will stop the session and I also check that they do not have any heart conditions.
I also only meet men in person if I have met them online first.
If I really know them, I’ll have them come to my house, where they’ll pay for the pleasure of cleaning my house or my car.
I charge them over £500 for the privilege.
I would never let someone in that I didn’t really trust – and Owen wouldn’t let me either.
And while many men are looking for classic dominatrix services, others just want to dress up as women or chat.
We’ll talk about everything.
Some are lonely and I feel like a counselor just listening to their problems.
I am so passionate about my work that with Owen’s help I set up my own webcam platform Domin8trix.
I give the girls on it a larger share of the profits than many adult platforms, and I mentor them and offer training.
It’s important that women realize that I work very hard to earn what I do, and that not all women are suitable for this job.
I have never hidden what I do.
My youngest son’s teachers know because one mother said she didn’t want her kids hanging out with mine.
But they’ve never talked to me about it.
Fortunately, I have a small circle of very close friends. I also have thick skin.
I’ve had to deal with racist abuse all my life, so a bit of gossip isn’t for me.
At the end of the day, I’m just a working mom doing my best for my family.
I like to cook, curl up, watch a movie and read Callum bedtime stories.
I don’t hurt anyone except my clients – and only if they ask me nicely and pay me handsomely.
There is also no age limit for being stupid.
The longer you are in the industry, the more respect you get.
Owen says: “I’m very relaxed about Zara’s work. It’s just another job.
“We have a great relationship.
“When I was younger, I never thought we would be here today, but we have grown together and this is where we need to go – and it is a happy place.”
