A lovers’ dispute spiraled out of control after a man failed to defend his wife.
The despised husband’s friend called his wife a “dirty, greasy turkey.”

Reddit user No-experience7433 shared the story in a post on the social media platform.
She and her husband decided to have dinner with his friend, whom he had not known for very long.
They sat around the table with their 10-month-old son on their lap and shared photos from their wedding, in which the woman was pregnant.
“I was 37 weeks pregnant and had gained 35 pounds,” she said of her wedding day.
“The friend looks at a picture and says, ‘Oh, what happened to you? Your face is so fat. You look like a fat turkey.'”
The woman tried in vain to explain what happens to a woman’s body during pregnancy.
“He wouldn’t listen and kept laughing and repeating similar insults,” she said.
“I looked at my husband and he was just laughing along with him.”
The woman said she had put her son to bed that night feeling defeated and had cried herself to sleep.

The woman explained that she was hurt not only by her husband’s friend’s words, but also by the fact that he didn’t stand up for her.
“What I needed at that moment, only my husband could give me,” she said.
She wanted her husband to respond in a peaceful manner, with enough courage to defend her.
“I just wanted him to say, ‘I thought you looked beautiful on our wedding day, honey.’
“I would have said, ‘Thank you,’ laughed, and we would have moved on with our evening.
“I had to feel like a team, like he had my back. I don’t care about other people’s opinions of me, I care about my husband’s.”
OUT OF SIGHT
Because she was not getting the emotional support she needed from her husband, she decided that more drastic measures might be necessary.
“My husband lives with a friend, but he has a family, so I don’t know how long that’s going to last. I don’t know what his plan is. My parents handle our communication,” she said in an update.
She added that her parents urged her to take a few days to calm down and reflect.
“For the sake of my child I will do that, but I don’t want to continue with this marriage at this time,” she said.
In another update, she added that her husband is still not with her.
“My husband has left home and I feel like my marriage is over,” she said.
