I like two tried and true grandma products for beauty on a budget
A BEAUTY fan has revealed which classic skincare products she and her grandmother endorse.
The drugstore’s basic products have not only stood the test of time, but are also a great option for those on a budget.
Redditor TekFlower shared her favorite affordable brands while responding to a after from another user who searched for “broke b***h beauty tips.”
“The tried and true grandma brands are worth it,” she wrote, recommending products from Nivea and Dove.
“I like the Nivea Soft moisturizer and the Dove plant milk bars, but the old Dove beauty bar is also lovely,” she noted.
That wasn’t the only praise she offered.
“French pharmacy brands such as LaRoche-Posay, BioDerma, Avène, etc. are also very good,” she added.
Other Redditors agreed, noting that they also prefer older beauty brands.
“About 20 years ago, I spent a week in a rehabilitation hospital and had a 93-year-old roommate for a few days,” one of them recalls.
“She used Pond’s cold cream on her face twice a day, and her skin was unbelievably beautiful. She said it was the only thing she had ever used.”
The Redditor said she bought a pair as soon as she could and still uses them to this day.
“I just put it on last, on top of everything else I’m using. I used to use Oil of Olay too,” she said.
HOME ASSISTANCE
TekFlower also shared DIY treatments that can help “smooth out forehead wrinkles.”
“You can do microneedling, red light therapy, microcurrent and radiofrequency treatments at home if you invest in the right tools,” she said.
She recommended watching YouTube videos on at-home beauty treatments and makeup reviews for more tips.

BEAUTIFUL NAILS
