But in a remarkable story about love and the law The then 30-year-old woman felt attracted to the man of her dreams and achieved her dream man in just two weeks.

She began to create a connection in her mind with her future husband. She had daily conversations and visualized who that man could be. She believed in her heart that he existed.

Ivana, who now lives in Dalgety Bay, Fife, said she spoke to her hypothetical future husband daily, even hourly.

She told the Scottish Sun: “I started talking to him as if he existed. I imagined where he was and what he would be doing.

“I knew he was real, he was out there somewhere. I didn’t know when I would meet him or how, but that didn’t matter anymore. Just knowing he was out there gave me comfort, it removed the block.”

While this may sound like a daydream for a hopeless romantic, the story took a surprising turn when, within two weeks of her making her dream of her perfect husband come true, he revealed himself.

She realized that her “dream man” was none other than an existing friend, Yaw.

Despite being friends for two years, this transformation in her perspective was necessary for Yaw, 48, to see her in a new light.

She confessed: “I knew him, he was there all the time. I just wasn’t ready to see him that way, maybe.

“I kept saying I wish I could meet a nice man like Yaw.

“We got together and I just knew, oh my God, this is the one.”

After a night out with friends, the two started a relationship and within three weeks she was pregnant with twins.

A whirlwind romance led to a wedding seven months later. They have now been together for nine years.

The couple, who have lived in Scotland for three years, now have three boys. The twins are now eight and a two-year-old has also joined the happy family.

Last year the lovebirds launched a podcast called ‘Life in black and white, and all the shades in between’ a nod to their interracial relationship.

The duo share their experiences on relationships, parenting and race and talk to guests about their experiences.

Reflecting on her extraordinary love story, Ivana, now 40, offers advice to those in a similar situation.

She suggests, “Just know he’s out there, connect with him in your mind and ask him questions.

“I know it might sound a little weird, but it was so liberating.

“And I believe that’s why I was able to attract him, because I had an unwavering faith and let go of the ‘how.’”

Her husband, Yaw, is also a firm believer in the law of attraction.

She said: “He’s very open to it and we discuss it a lot.

“I only told him this recently, actually, when I manifested it to him during one of our podcast interviews,”

Ivana said that manifestation involves learning to let go of the ‘how’ and connecting in your mind with your desired partner.

She believes this mental shift and self-compassion accelerated the process of attracting her dream man.

The law of attraction has helped Ivan in other areas of her life, too. She cites her first job at a top advertising agency in her native Slovakia as another example of how her mindset made a difference.

She said, “It’s very, very important to have faith.”
