I saved £5,000 by refurbishing my kitchen – it was gray and dated, but now it’s ‘beautiful’
A WOMAN has revealed she gave her ‘depressing’ and ‘dated’ kitchen a mega makeover without spending a lot of money.

Niichole S Cootte said she used bargains from B&Q, eBay and Screwfix to breathe new life into her kitchen.
Delighted with her overhaul, which lasted four days, Niichole took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.

“Our kitchen used to be very sad, very gray and very outdated. It was depressing and didn’t allow it our house have a lot of character.
“We managed to complete this in four days (even with a break in between because I wasn’t feeling well), working late into the night so we could have our house back!”
Now Niichole’s space is light and warm, with stylish herringbone floors, trendy worktops and chic details.
Niichole was enthusiastic about the transformation: “It’s understandable that everyone has different budgets, but ours was under £1,000 and in total we spent around £650.
“We managed to save around £5,000 because we got a quote from Wren, but we didn’t want to be in debt/financing when we could *have a go* at it ourselves!”
Niichole then shared an overview of her kitchen overhaul, as she confirmed she had thrown away Mrs Hinch’s gray cupboard doors and received ten new ones from B&Q for a total of £224.
She also said goodbye to her boring cupboard handles and got ten trendy gold ones for £15 from eBay.
To brighten up the space, which is now for sale, Niichole bought white tiles for £92, and even had two boxes of spare parts.
