I sell real estate in Ibiza – my tips to turn your garden into a paradise
A real estate professional has shared his top design tips for turning your yard into an outdoor oasis.
If you want to transform your home into a Spanish paradise without leaving the country, you can use these tricks.
CW Ibiza CEO Christian Wolf explained how to give your garden a ‘Mediterranean makeover’, making it look like you’re in Ibiza, Spain.
With his tips you can ‘fill your outdoor space with vibrant colors, lush greenery, cozy seating areas and soothing water features’.
EMBRACE COLOR
“One of the first things you can do is dress your outdoor space in the bold and vibrant hues that Ibiza is known for,” says Wolf.
He recommended using colourful garden furniture decorated with ‘eye-catching patterns’ and textile details such as cushions and throws to ‘create a playful and inviting atmosphere’.
Add an extra dimension to your garden with some of his floral choices.
“Mediterranean plants such as bougainvillea and palm trees add a touch of the tropical atmosphere, while the lush foliage provides much-needed shade,” he added.
KEEP IT COZY
Create a cozy environment that invites relaxation and conviviality with your choice of seating.
Hammocks and sun loungers with soft cushions are a great way to relax and enjoy the summer sun.
“Mood lighting, such as lanterns or fairy lights, casts a warm glow over your Ibiza-inspired oasis and creates the perfect atmosphere for evening gatherings,” says Wolf.
WATERWORKS
If you want to create a little more tranquility in your garden, Wolf recommends adding a fountain or small pool.
This way you create a ‘serene ambiance that takes you to the Mediterranean’ while you enjoy the sun.
According to the real estate expert, these “water features will not only enhance the overall aesthetics but also provide a refreshing cool-down during the summer heat.”
SUSTAINABLE SELECTIONS
If you really want to capture the ‘essence of Ibiza’, Wolf recommends using eco-friendly materials and native plants from the region.
“Ibiza’s natural beauty is a testament to the importance of sustainability.
“Incorporating eco-friendly elements into your garden creates a harmonious and environmentally conscious space,” he said.
THE RIGHT VIBE
Finally, if you want to experience Ibiza without it being too expensive, it’s all about the right atmosphere.
That means filling your playlist with upbeat, Mediterranean-inspired music.
For example, consider placing speakers outside or a cozy lounge area with a sound system next to it.
Not only will your garden guests enjoy this, it will also help maintain the tranquility of your private space.
“With these tips, anyone can quickly transform their garden into an Ibiza-inspired paradise where you can enjoy the summer while staying cool and relaxed,” says Wolf.
