Like many people around the world, I often have camping, and always in the standard way – with a familiar tent and sleeping bag and stones on the floor instead of a mattress.

But the idea of camping in a car is a new one on me – especially because the vehicle in which I spend the night has a very comfortable mattress and cooled beverage compartment.

Not only that, but I am parked 1500 meters the Alps, WIt is a perfect view of a snow -covered Mont Blanc Peak in front of me, and Grasrijk, impressive hills, buds and mountain ranges on both sides.

It is far away from what I have been used to – making rough in muddy fields and compete with huge families for the toilets and showers.

I drove the refuge of Mayeres in Sallanches – only accessible on foot or 4×4 vehicle – in a Dacia Bigster, parked together with only five other cars to spend the night outside.

Although there are no coffee shops or supermarkets in the area to escape, there is also no risk of being surrounded by screaming children or loud musters in the tent next door.

As with every camping trip, however, the biggest challenge is setting up the tent – or, in this case, the sleeping package of the car.

It is available for £ 1,740 as an add -on when you buy a Dacia Bigster, Jogger or Duster, and has already overcome halfway to start – without having to assemble Poland, dig in the grass, or to fight with someone else about how things go upstairs.

It’s really simple.

The rear seat of the car runs down and – Hey, Presto – A sleeping package essentially plunges into the car to make a mattress.

There is storage space under the box, so I have none of the usual hassle of condensation that makes my trainers moist and even throw the storage box in a ledge or table.

So with my ‘bedroom’ in order, I manage to set myself up with coffee and a book to enjoy the huge landscape and the silence, before I roll to my comfortable mattress to stare at the stars through the sun roof without a hint of pollution.

The view is magical and the perfect way to relieve me to one of the other major challenges of camping – getting full seven hours.

And thanks to no loud musters in the tent next door, as well as great Black -out blinds, I am much more comfortable than ever in a standard tent.

I even sleep all the way to my 5.30 am alarm (I didn’t miss the sunrise over the top of Mont Blanc) and I am not at all angry with the early wake -up.

The first two hours of the morning, completely alone spent, seeing how the sun rises over the mountain range, while putting cushions in a cozy nest can be compared.

Even if you are a big fan of the outdoors, there is something indescribable about an alpine sunrise - and the silence only contributes. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat

It was not necessary to worry that they are too far away from civilization.

I am really disconnected from the bustle of London and the big city, without any WiFi to check in with my friends so much, and everything I can think of is these beautiful views – Pink, orange and blue haze from all corners.

Even if you are not a big fan of the outdoors, there is something indescribable about an alpine sunrise – and the silence only contributes.

Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.
