I smoked for 20 years, but my $10 purchase made the lines around my mouth disappear
A SKINCARE fan shared a bargain purchase that erased decades of fine lines.
They explained that the beauty product helped their skin, despite the fact that they had smoked for years.
Reddit user Saturnia-00 shared the anti-aging skin care tip in a post.
First, they urged people who are serious about anti-aging to use sunscreen carefully.
One skin care ingredient also did its best to turn back the clock.
“Unlike a retinoid or sunscreen, argireline,” they said.
“I smoked for over 20 years and suffered from lines around my mouth. They have now disappeared after taking Argireline from The Ordinary for almost a year.”
The $9.70 beauty purchase has earned hundreds of five-star reviews from satisfied customers.
The Redditor noted that they use the brand’s serum two to three times a week.
“I also have expression lines on my forehead and they have become less visible since using the product,” they add.

From their own experience, they said that the ingredient works well on sensitive skin.
“I have reactive, sensitive skin and I have no problem applying it before a retinoid,” they said.
“It can be irritating at first. The warning on The Ordinary’s Argireline says it can cause a minor reaction when first used. It happened to me too.
“The first night it was a little itchy and my face got red (not unusual for me; my face reacts to everything), but since then I’ve been fine.”
They added that the serum did not aggravate or worsen existing skin conditions.
“I have very dehydrated skin and am prone to eczema, so I know the struggle,” they said.
Other skincare enthusiasts agreed that the ingredient made a big difference.
“Argireline is true skin care magic,” said one commenter.
“I’ve heard it called Botox in a bottle before and I agree 100%. I started using it when I switched from the regular Ordinary Buffet [serum] “I had the one with copper peptides and thought it was the copper peptides that were magic,” said another.
“I ran out of Argireline and after about two weeks I noticed that I was seeing deeper and deeper lines on my forehead.
“I put the Argireline back in and a few days later the lines on my forehead were fuller. It’s incredible stuff.”
They added that the serum did not pose any problems for their sensitive skin.
“I have very sensitive skin/rosacea and have had no problems with Argireline, even on my eyes,” they said.
