Joanne, from Fleetwood near Blackpool, has been sharing her Christmas decorations online for years.

However, this was the first time she was targeted by online trolls.

“If someone doesn’t like my tree, that’s fine,” she said Email online.

“They are entitled to their opinion.

“But to describe it as tacky and cheap is just wrong. I tried not to lose my temper as some of the comments made me very angry.

“One person said it was the worst tree she had ever seen. Real? That was just hateful and hurtful.”

Photos showed her Christmas tree decorated with metallic blue, pink and silver artificial leaves and baubles.

More than 11,000 people liked it Facebook post, but the ‘annoying’ minority of critics took notice of Joanne.

Among them were those who claimed the decorations were not “traditional enough” and that it would be “bad luck” to put up a Christmas tree before December.

“It screams live laugh love,” said one.

“It doesn’t look Christmassy at all,” another joked.

However, other comments on the viral post tried to express their opinions without being so harsh.

“I don’t see Christmas at all when I look at this, but it is beautiful,” one commenter wrote.

“Beautiful colours, but in my opinion it doesn’t represent Christmas. I’m more traditional,” said a second.

One commenter defended Joanne by describing her Christmas tree as “the best,” while another said it was “beautiful.”

Is it too early for Christmas?

Some say it’s never too early for Christmas, and there are many reasons for that.

For example, decorating your home can improve your mood by releasing dopamine, the feel-good hormone in your brain.

If you’re an early riser, Christmas supply stores can help you prepare and reduce costs over several months.

You can also look for bargains during various shopping events, for example during the end of year sales or Black Friday.

One of the best things about the holidays is eating lots of delicious seasonal meals and treats – enjoying your favorite drinks and beverages.

Joanne, who works in a home improvement store selling decorations, spent £150 on supplies for her Christmas tree and matching wreaths.

She likes to experiment with colors and different styles, regardless of whether her colleagues laugh.

She confessed that she hated taking down her party decorations.

“A lot was said [it was] Easter colors. Don’t let me be tempted because I will hold out until Easter,” she joked.

Joanne said “no one is going to spoil Christmas for her” and she is looking forward to cooking for her son and his partner this year.
