I spent weeks exchanging between the largest wireless headphones in the world – here is the only pair I stay with

In the past month I had the non-so-very-poor task to compare the shiny new one Sony WH-1000XM6 against their greatest rivals. Yes, I have tried wireless headphones from everyone, including all the big batters such as AppleBose Sonos… you name it! But because the head has already been spilled, there are only one headphones that I recommend everyone – and that is the newest flagship cans from Sony.
In mine Sony WH-1000XM6 Review I have made it clear this are an exceptional pair of headphones that serve a delicious cocktail of spectacular sound quality, a wonderful design and, more importantly,, leading noise reduction. And so it will be little surprise that the XM6 quickly in our list of the Best headphones.
Yet part of the competition is incredibly fierce. Models such as the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S3 Earned a glowing five-star review of us and believe me, they are the real deal. But I can’t help it, but I feel that the Sony WH-1000XM6 is the better choice for most people. Why? I will split it into three important reasons.
1. Close the outside world
When we talk about ANC, there is just nobody who can surpass Sony now. That’s right, the WH-1000XM6 offers the best noise suppression I have ever tested on a few headphones. Yes, even better than the Bose Silent Comfort Ultra. And considerably superior to Sony’s earlier effort, the Sony WH-1000XM5.
That is because Sony’s newest cans use the power of a new and improved QN3 HD -noise reduction processor, which gives 12 microphones in real -time coordination to close the outside world. Oh, there is also AI on board, which does a little extra legwork to prevent annoying external sounds from the inside.
Whether I was walking close to a traffic-weaving road, worked in a room filled with a chat or my apartment, the XM6 caused silence or at least near-silence. So, whether you are looking for that morning shuttles a little more bearable or maybe just feel a little antisocial, you can trust the XM6 to keep you locked up in your favorite songs and movies.
Oh, one more thing about that phenomenal mic system. It also helps to offer crystal clear calling, with six beam -forming microphones that help bring the focus to your mouth. Again, AI is near to get Clamors from your area, and this works incredibly well.
I attended a demo in Sony’s 5020 studio in Madrid, where someone walked into an artificial noisy environment, but after placing the XM6 and call, the only thing I could hear was their voice. You really get clarity at the next level with these headphones and yes, they are considerably better in this area than previous models such as the Sony WH-1000XM4.
2. Liquid, foolish-proof checks
So, Sony stands up considerably in the rich anc and call quality. But something else that is refined is the touch controls. On the XM6 you fought forward and back to skip or return to a song, to brighten and hold to adjust the volume, and double taps to pause or play music, feels so incredibly smooth.
In fact, the XM6 delivers the most intuitive, smooth touch controls that I have ever seen on headphones. You can even cover the right ear shop to switch on the transit mode – how cool is that?!
And after testing some rival models, I started to appreciate those touch controls even more. I absolutely love the open, vast, yet coherent sound of the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S3 – I think they are currently offering the best sound quality on the market for the money. Yes, maybe even a little better than the XM6 that, by the way, sounds absolutely fantastic! But unfortunately for the PX7 S3, they are limited to basic button control that felt like such a downgrade after extensive with the help of the XM6. This alone kept me back to the Sony -Competent.
For reference, if you want to skip tracks on the Bowers headphones, you have to double press on the play button – and they are three presses to go back. That feels a bit rigid for me … and behind the time. Likewise the Apple Airpods Maxwho offer a seductively extensive audio, a wonderful design and excellent usability for iPhone users, are stopped, among other things, by physical operating elements (including).
I appreciate that some find touch controls a bit annoying. Maybe you accidentally skip a trail when you remove the headphones. Maybe you pause your music when adjusting your lush locks. But the XM6 handle touch beautiful. I do not yet have to experience a casual play changes or the like. Touch control elements and this is so good now that it is so much more than have a nice.
3. All the functions you would ever want … and something else
I could close this by talking about the beautifully balanced, dynamic sound of the XM6. I could even talk about their slender, comfortable design that brings back folding. But instead I want to talk about the insanely wide, yet detailed job list that you get on this Sony headphone.
Yes, of course you get that phenomenal ANC and calling. But with the Sound Connect app you unlock so much more. There is listening on scenes and adaptive audio, which adapts, depending on your environment. There are LDAC and DSEE for access to audio with higher resolution via Bluetooth. And now there is an EQ tab with 10-bands, which comes with a listening test from your equalizer.
But I only scratch the surface! There is moreFrom Auracast to a listening mode of the cinema that really helps to distinguish the XM6 from their rivals. They really have everything you would like from a few of the Best headphones for noise suppressions And more.
Combine that with the above reasons and you look at a few real all -rounders. The Sony WH-1000XM6 has covered all the base and nail all basic principles such as sound quality and noise reduction. So if there are some of the Best over-ear headphones I recommend everyone… it must be these.
But wait – this is an open discussion instead of a final decision! Do you agree? If you already have the Sony WH-1000XM6, what are your impressions so far? I would like to hear from you, so feel free, let me know your thoughts in the responses. Especially enjoy the music.
