In her viral videoTikTok user Amber Pot (@amberpot) broke off her beauty regimen.

For her first step, she applies hair oil to the mid- and ends of her locks.

The TikToker explained that this helps “protect it from hard water damage.”

She also uses a pre-wash scalp treatment, which she described as “a must after oiling the scalp.”

Amber’s favorite scalp treatments are usually “a scalp scrub or salicylic acid.”

She then recommended washing your locks twice with shampoo, explaining the reasons behind each rinse.

“The first wash breaks down the product buildup, while the second wash removes the dirt,” Amber explains.

And when it comes to shampooing, the hair care professional applies the product only to her roots.

According to the TikTok user, shampoo can dry out the ends of your locks.

Amber also takes her shampoo to the next level by adding rosemary essential oil for hair growth.

She then uses warm water to wash out the shampoo, but switches to cold water to rinse out her conditioner.

However, before applying conditioner, Amber explained that she uses a hair mask in the shower.

When she applies conditioner, she only adds the product to the middle and ends of her locks.

She explained that the product would make her locks greasy when applied to her roots.

As a final step, Amber always completes her hair washing routine with a cold rinse.
