I thought I’d try heatless curls…my mom said I looked like King Charles II

HEATLESS curls have become all the rage in the beauty community – and for good reason, as this method gives you the perfect bounce without any damage.

That is, if it’s done correctly, as one woman, Holly Morridge, recently learned the hard way.

Standing in front of the mirror in her bathroom, the young woman slowly began to remove the four thick cloth rollers she had stuffed into her mane hours earlier.

Although the haircut seemed relatively promising after removing the first two, it all went downhill when she got to the back part — and then the most important part, the bangs.

With her long blonde locks now in bouncy waves that almost looked like she just stepped out of a salon, Holly started to take the roller out of her bangs.

“Okay, moment of truth,” the beauty lover seemed a little nervous before realizing what a big mistake she had made.

Instead of rolling the heatless curls back and away from her forehead, Holly had rolled them in – a serious mistake that created a wave-like effect on her.

Completely shocked and speechless, she was stunned by the reflection in the mirror and said, “No.. No, no, no.”

Despite attempts to style the extra bouncy locks, Holly soon realized there was no saving the disastrous hairstyle – which she said left her looking like Oliver Cromwell, former Lord Protector considered one of the most important figures in British history .

“Nothing will deprive you more than heatless curls you depend on,” Holly said the video.

“I look like I’m from 1798.”

Unfortunately for Holly, things went from bad to worse as she discovered she didn’t have time to clean up the mess and had to leave her house.

I couldn’t afford a Dyson Airwrap so my mum bought me the Aldi dupe – the curls are so big and bouncy, it’s incredible

After showing the epic fail to her mother, Holly was told she ‘looked like a blonde King Charles II’.

Since being posted to the platform, where Holly posts under the username @holy morridgethe big flop has gone viral and almost earned her a staggering 3 million views.

Thousands of social media users flooded to comments that were left behind in total, with one joking: ”What is your judgement, your honour?”

Another intervened and said Holly was ”in her Victorian era”.

Hairstyles that are kind to your locks

  1. Loose braids: Opt for loose, soft braids instead of tight braids to minimize tension on the scalp and reduce breakage.
  2. Low ponytail: A low ponytail is less stressful on your hair compared to high, tight ponytails. Use a fabric-covered hair tie to prevent snagging.
  3. Messy sandwich: A relaxed, messy bun can be both stylish and kind to your hair. Don’t pull your hair too tight and use soft hair elastics.
  4. Soft waves: Embrace your natural texture or use heatless methods to create soft waves, reducing the need for damaging heat styling tools.
  5. Half up, half down: This hairstyle involves pulling back some of the hair while leaving the rest loose, reducing pressure on your scalp.
  6. Headbands and scarves: Using headbands or scarves can keep hair out of your face without causing damage, and they can be quite fashionable.
  7. Loose braids for sleeping: Loosely braid your hair before going to bed to prevent tangles and breakage during the night.

”Let me just say I had the most depressing day of crying non-stop and this made me laugh so hard. Thank you, I really needed this,” wrote a third.”

“It matters little boy,” someone else was hysterical.

While Holly may have been shocked by the results, some felt that the hairstyle wasn’t that bad and that a little styling could have saved it.

“Honestly I thought it was so cute, it just needed some messing up,” said one viewer.
