I transformed my baby’s room on the cheap – my £4.99 B&M purchase made a big difference
Preparing a nursery for your newborn baby is one of the most exciting and joyful tasks for expectant parents.
It’s a great opportunity to create a cozy, welcoming and safe space where your little one can grow, sleep and play.
From choosing the perfect color palette to choosing cute decor and functional furniture, designing a nursery is a great first step in parenthood.
However, due to the cost of living crisis, spending on new home goods and decorations can put a significant strain on the budget.
But don’t worry, it’s still achievable, as one new mom recently discovered.
The do-it-yourselfer, known as @insideno12 on TikTok she set herself the challenge of renovating her son’s nursery on a limited budget.
She shared a video on her social media page showing how she transformed the room with affordable purchases from B&M.
She managed to get some DIY supplies, which made the room look like she’d spent a fortune without actually doing so.
The mother bought the Dulux Paint on offer for £15, Frog Tape for £4.99, dust sheets for £5.49, a wicker basket for £10 and a cushion for £14.
With these tools she painted her son’s room blue and decorated it with the pillow and the wicker basket.
She applied the Frog Tape to the walls to ensure straight lines while painting, and laid out the dusters to protect the carpet from paint spills.
Ultimately, she created a beautiful nursery without spending a lot of money, proving that with a little creativity and ingenuity, you can design a beautiful space for your little one.
Many people “loved” her video when they shared it and rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “So cute.”
While another said: “Looks lovely, where are your blinds from please x”
To which the mother replied: “Blinds 2 go.”
