The bargain hunter revealed she had completely transformed her drab new bathroom for just £100.

She said: “Before and after of my colour soaked downstairs toilet. Cost about £100.

“I live in a new build, so my house is still very simple, so it’s great to have something so daring hidden in this small room. It shocks people who don’t know.”

Maria then listed all the products she used for the DIY makeover.

She used two cans of Farrow & Ball’s Haugue Blue as the paint colour.

After painting the bathroom, she set about renovating the bathroom, buying a mirror, a new tap, towel and toilet roll holders for a bargain on eBay.

After securing the goods, she used a gold spray paint to cover the chrome accessories for a more modern look.

Finally, she decorates the walls with ‘photos’ in the form of free wallpaper samples and photo frames from Ikea that she already had in the closet.

Maria even painted the door and baseboards the same blue color for a maximalist look.

She continued, “The door and baseboards needed about five coats. The walls needed two.”
