Smart woman, who posts under the username @jesrosevinyltook to TikTok, where she proved that you don’t need to spend a fortune to give your home a completely new look.
What’s more, not only can homeowners renovate their homes on the cheap, her method is so simple that even DIYers can achieve stunning results.
The interior design enthusiast, who regularly shares content about the house on her page, decided to tackle the ‘horrible’ green tiles in her toilet.
But instead of removing the existing carpet and replacing it with a new layer, the woman came up with a cost-effective solution: she used the trendy self-adhesive tiles.
Vinyl wall tiles are a simple and affordable alternative to new floors or walls. They are easy to use and give your space a stylish look without having to tile the entire room.
Whether you are looking for a modern aesthetic or a traditional finish, the market has something for everyone. Buyers can find them at major retailers such as B&Q or order from Amazon.
In her videothe DIY enthusiast chose the product of Jesus Rooswhere the beautiful black and white Astral Star tiles are on sale for just £6.
These tiles are, according to the website, also hard-wearing, water-resistant, reusable, designed to last and have a ‘premium thickness’ of 2mm.
Showing off the stunning transformation, the woman said: “Today’s mission was to transform this horrible green floor with these beautiful self-adhesive tiles.
”I got straight to work and used this handy little tool to create the toilet shape on the background paper – […] Then I glued it to the tile, traced its outline and literally cut it out.
“This tool is an absolute game-changer,” the hobbyist praised the bargain.
After finishing the area around the toilet, she went to work on the remaining tiles, occasionally measuring and cutting the tiles to the wall to make sure they fit neatly.
The makeover was done using waterproof silicone she bought from B&Q for around £3. She wanted to protect the floor while people were washing their hands and prevent any ‘mess’ from being created.
“It really finishes it off, it looks really nice,” the woman said, adding that she was “obsessed” with the results of the affordable glow-up.
Not only the Fabulous team is excited about the results, people on social media are too. They responded en masse and praised her work.
