I transformed my toilet for £80 with Temu Buys and there was no drilling involved
A THRIFT woman has wowed social media users with her incredible bathroom glow-up for a bargain price. She paid less than £80 for the project.
Facebook user Leanne Martin took on the popular DIY on a Budget Official page to share stunning photos of the renovation of the rented property.
The DIY fanatic explained in the post: ”I live in a private rental house with a wonderful landlady who lets me do anything, as long as it’s tasteful!
“I’ve always hated the bathroom, but finally I took the plunge and added a bit of color!”
The original bathroom, which was also quite small, had simple white walls, a small sink with a colorful blue splash, and a simple white bath.
But rather than spending a fortune, the average cost of a makeover can be between £2,000 and £4, experts have said – Leanne worked with what she had.
Armed with inspiration and creativity, the financially savvy woman transformed the bathroom from drab to fantastic, using only Temu bargains.
One of the rooms she tackled was the white walls, which Leanne covered with a beautiful wallpaper featuring stunning floral patterns.
Other affordable purchases included a bath mat, a toilet roll holder, a toilet roll hammock, corner shelves, a shelf above the toilet and a towel holder. None of these required drilling, she said.
While placing his order with the Chinese online giant, the customer also added ”handy little shower curtain holders to prevent water from running out of the shower” to the shopping cart.
”And the corner cabinet is actually a bread box, also from Temu, because I couldn’t find a corner cabinet I liked!” she chuckled in the caption.
“Most of the stuff is from Temu! And it was all under £80!”
The massive makeover has since taken the popular page, which has 2.2 million frugal members, by storm.
One fan of the transformation said: “I absolutely love a decent landlord, we have one now. Looks fantastic.”
Another chimed in: “So incredibly proud of you Leanne. You are truly a talented and extremely capable young lady.
