I have never really been a fan of face masks, I always felt like they made my skin dry and tight.
But that all changed after I went to Lush for a skincare consultation and discovered the most incredible face mask, it left my face feeling soft and hydrated.

I was invited to visit this beauty specialist’s largest Scottish store on Buchanan Street in Glasgow and attend one of their new in-store parties.
I took my two daughters Aimee and Sarahjane and it was super fun and at the same time one of the most pampering moments I have ever experienced.
Part of the celebration was the Lush team trying to find the perfect face masks for us, based on our skin type.
The staff was amazing. They sat down with us and asked us all sorts of questions about how we feel IN our skin and how we want our skin to actually feel.
Based on our answers, they gave us the best recommendation for the face mask that would give us the feeling we wanted.
I was immediately charmed by the silky Rosy Cheeks mask. It looked so lush and silky.
But they explained that this was best for cleansing skin that quickly turns red, while I was actually looking for something to treat dry skin.
Then they released their new face mask called Skin Soothing Porridge.
It didn’t look appealing. It was yellowish in color and had a very thick, lumpy consistency because it was full of oats.
As the name suggests, it felt like I had dipped my face in a bowl of porridge.
The team laughed at my initial reaction to the mask but kindly assured me that it worked wonders, stressing that sometimes it’s their products that aren’t the prettiest that have the most impact.
And they were right.
The first time I used it on my face it was an absolute dream.
Although it wasn’t the easiest mask to put on, it was worth it because of the unusual texture.
The mask itself is made from oats, honeysuckle, and honey, all of which work together to relieve discomfort.
And then a mix of lavender, rose and chamomile blue is added for their beneficial properties for the skin and the mind.
It’s a simple mixture that smells like honey, and as soon as I put it on my face I could feel it melting into my skin.
I relaxed for ten minutes to let it soak in and then gently rinsed it away with lukewarm water.
The results were astonishing: my previously dry skin was super soft and silky and had never felt so hydrated.
It even worked on the most stubborn areas like around my eyebrows and chin where the skin can sometimes be the driest.
DREAM HUMIDIFIER
I WAS super excited to take home a VIP goody bag after trying out one of Lush’s new in-store parties. It was full of goodies and samples, including their Celestial moisturiser.
This is a moisturizer that I can buy by the liter. It is incredibly light, soft, works quickly and my skin feels wonderful for days after application.
My skin has never felt better than after applying Celestial. It is a soothing blend of vanilla water and organic cocoa butter with over 5 percent almond milk, making it ideal for anyone with sensitive, dry, tight or inflamed skin.
It is packed with gentle, natural ingredients that help the skin barrier function and make the skin feel wonderful again. For example, it contains 15 percent almond oil, mixed with almond milk and vanilla water, which softens the complexion and supports the skin’s self-care capacity.
As I mentioned before, I have a drier skin in general, so I usually have to apply a moisturizer a few times a day to keep my skin soft.
Just one coat of Celestial and my skin was as soft as satin. I have never found anything else that works so well for my face without giving me breakouts.
And because it absorbs so quickly, you’ll feel the boost immediately – literally the moment it touches your skin, so you don’t have to worry about your face having too much time to dry out.
And because you only need a small amount and much less often than other moisturizers, the product lasts a long time.
Celestial is my new favorite moisturizer – and I doubt I’ll be buying any other moisturizers for my face in the future! It’s a best seller for a reason.
Once I’ve wiped everything away, I usually apply a thin layer of moisturizer to my face to seal in the hydration.
For me this was a real game changer, I’ve already gone back to Lush to get more!
If you have dry skin like me, this is a must-have.
There are a few things you should keep in mind if you decide to purchase this face mask.
It is freshly made and arrives fresh to you, so you can make the most of the delicious ingredients inside.
Therefore, it should be kept in the refrigerator and used within 28 days.
After that you have to throw it away.
