I tried to join the ‘Mile High Club’ with my partner, it was humiliating
A man has revealed that his attempt to join the Mile High Club with his girlfriend ended up being the most “horrible moment” of his life.
He explained that he and his other half “really wanted to try” to get intimate on a plane mid-flight — an act called the Mile High Club — so they decided to book a red-eye, “thinking no one would pay ‘. some attention to them.
But, as another couple discovered when they were taken off an EasyJet flight for performing a sex act under a jacket, sometimes things can go terribly wrong.
He explained that his girlfriend went to the toilet first, while he followed a few minutes later.
Since they were already excited, things started quickly, but just as they were getting into it, a flight attendant “started banging on the door and saying, ‘Come out right now! I know what you’re doing in there!’
“We look at each other in horror and I immediately lose my erection,” he admitted in the post Reddit.

The pair then buttoned themselves up and “sneaked out”, to “a big stink eye from everyone sitting nearby”, while he admitted that “several people were woken up by the flight attendant screaming”.
The couple then had to spend the rest of the flight in ‘extreme shame’, with the man admitting he was also still sexually frustrated.
The angry flight attendant – who he said was a “middle-aged mother type, not the cool young Redditting type” – then pointed the pair out to the captain as they got off the flight.
“1/5 would not repeat,” he concluded.
“I turned red when I read that,” one person admitted in the comments section.
‘I would have come out of the bathroom and said, ‘how dare you? She’s afraid of flying and I’m here helping her and you’re going to try to embarrass us?’ and walk away,” wrote another.
“I did something similar when me and my other half had sex on the train,” said someone else.
“We used that line when people started banging on the door.
“My other half started gagging and crying, and whoever was banging on the door left.
“So it worked pretty well.”
However, they added that they “wouldn’t recommend it” as there is “barely any ventilation” and “railway toilets are absolutely disgusting”.
While someone else wrote: ‘In fact, having sex in a place is not illegal.
“Ignoring a flight attendant’s instructions, such as being told to leave the bathroom while having sex, is illegal.”
Is joining the Mile High Club actually illegal?
Having sex on a flight may sound exciting to some, but it comes with the risk of getting caught and getting into legal trouble.
Many have bragged over the years about their membership in the so-called ‘Mile-High Club’ – but this is what the law says.
There is no such law in Britain that prevents someone from having sex on a plane.
However, there are some violations that you are likely to commit.
Under section 71 of the Sexual Offenses Act 2004, it is illegal to have sex in a toilet to which the public has access.
Offenders face a prison sentence of six months or a fine of £1,000.
It could also be argued that public decency at common law is outrageous if it is proven that at least one person saw the act.
“You just gotta get the courage and go for it,” another added.
“Go to the toilets at the back of the plane so no one is watching them and go at a time when there are no queues.”
“The trick I discovered was average sized day flights,” someone else wrote.
“A lot of people think they have to do night flights, but the crew is usually large and there’s a good chance you’ll get caught.”
