One DIYer has proven that you don’t have to spend a fortune to take your home from drab to fabulous.

Delighted with her hallway’s transformation, Holly Citrone took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.

Post on DIY on a budgeta private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, the savvy mum, who is from Britain, explained that she used cheap buys from B&Q to add style and glamor to her space.

She wrote: “Hallway panels. We are so happy with this. This now matches our stairs.”

Holly explained that she stocked up on wood from B&Q for her mega makeover.

She revealed that the Astragal’s thicker dado rail cost £7.67 for 240cm, while the smaller Astragal inner rail cost £5.67 for 240cm.

Holly explained: “We used four of the larger rails and we think eight of the smaller ones, so the total outlay was £77.05.

“We already had the paint, namely Levis Timeless and Egyptian Cotton.”

Thanks to cheap dado rails from B&Q and the paint they already had, Holly was able to give her once plain hallway a breathtakingly fresh look.

For under £80, we think Holly’s makeover is super impressive – and it’s really trendy and chic too.
