I used to be a Mormon housewife, but now I’m a ‘hot grandma’ and proud cougar
An ex-Mormon left her modest religious life behind to become one of the faces of CougarTok.
Tara Gen dropped the strict rules to be the attractive ‘granny next door’, although she admitted it made her relationship with her children a little awkward.
As a teenage mother who married young and had four children, Tara didn’t have much time for herself over the past twenty years.
For years she kept house and devoted herself to her Mormon faith, but it all came crashing down when she divorced her husband.
“It wasn’t a great relationship,” she told The US Sun.
“After the fourth [kid]I thought, ‘I’m not going to put my daughters through this,’ and I said, ‘I’m done with this.’
“If I hadn’t gone through it, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I like who I’ve become.”
She thinks this is why her children are fine with her online behavior, even though they don’t like the dating aspect of it.
“They blocked me on TikTok,” she said. “It’s lighthearted and they laugh about it, but they don’t want it in their face, so I’m respectful about it.”
The cheerful grandmother now earns her money as an influencer and content creator, and with numerous real estate investments.
The California native credited the COVID-19 pandemic as the stepping stone to her new career after being a stay-at-home mom for so long.
Despite having over 848,000 followers on TikTok, she insists she’s “just a regular mom in California” who enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, ages one and three.
HER YOUTH LIFE
With three adult children and one child still living at home, she is not looking for a long-term relationship, but for a good time with her ‘cubs’.
“I didn’t live to see the fun 1920s,” she said.
“People think cougars run through young men, but they don’t. It takes a while to find one that’s right for me.”
While bored and stuck at home during the early days of the pandemic, she, like many others, experimented with creating TikToks.
I try to keep the whole dating thing classy. I also find that when I date younger men, they like older women with a classy vibe.

“It kind of made me a MILF,” she said.
“I saw that the people who followed me were younger, between 20 and 30 years old. I found that shocking.”
This made her one of the most famous faces of “CougarTok” and allowed her to convert her good looks and assets into money.
“I was shocked by the sheer amount of money people can make online,” she said.
OLDER MEN ARE JEALOUS
Her most viral video has received over 654,000 likes and 17,000 comments.
“I try to keep the whole dating thing classy. I also find that when I date younger men, they tend to go for older women with a classy look,” Tara said.
The last man she dated was 22 or 23 years old when their relationship began.
She felt he was mature enough for her because they performed similar activities and tasks.
Tara wasn’t always interested in younger men, but said they’re usually the ones who feel confident enough to approach her online and message her.
She also admitted that her biggest critics are actually older men.
“Maybe they’re jealous of the younger boys I pay attention to,” she said.
“Maybe that’s why I can get along with younger men. I’m not looking for a husband and they’re not looking for a wife.
“It’s nice to have a little bit of youthful energy and not be so serious.”
PLAYING IN ILLUSIONS
Tara didn’t always see herself as an attractive mother, but when her son got into a fight at school because someone called her that, she quickly realized it.
“I think people think I have a lot of sex with a lot of men,” she said. “I like the illusion that I do, but there’s not enough time for it.”
Tara explained that the main benefits of dating someone her own age, compared to someone younger, are financial stability, self-confidence, and the ability to provide life advice.
“I have a home, a life outside of them and I have no intention of making anything of this,” she added.
I am very down to earth and in the end it is all about my family.

The blonde beauty is so popular online that she was even approached by a casting agency to participate in a reality show about cougar mothers.
Although she was given many opportunities, it was not always sunshine and roses for her.
Since she became popular on the internet, Tara has been receiving inappropriate messages.
The worst forms of crime include unsolicited nude photos and men claiming they know where she lives and that they would come and attack her.
“I don’t think I’m controversial, so it’s ridiculous that they’re so mean or rude,” she stated.
“I have both feet on the ground and ultimately everything revolves around my family.”
