I want this $69 Minions Router and not just because it’s cute and on sale

Minions are funny little creatures, but despite their silliness, they’re surprisingly good at their jobs. The same can be said of Davolink’s Minion-themed “Bob” router. Behind its funny exterior lies a fully capable router built to improve your connection.

Bob is currently available on Amazon for $69, which is 40% off its regular price of $115. The Wi-Fi 6 router has a “40% faster data rate than Wi-Fi 5,” according to Davolink, and features dual-band frequency (2.4 and 5 GHz), QoS traffic management, and WPA3 security — all the features of a high-end router, without the bulky, boring look.

With a single 1,000Mbps LAN port, you can make Bob your primary router, but its wireless connectivity makes it more practical as a WiFi signal booster and extender. There’s also a single 1,000Mbps WAN port that you can use to connect a gaming console, desktop computer, or other device that would benefit from a wired Ethernet connection.

Bob plays nicely with other Minions (not very Minion-like, I know), including his partner in crime, Kevin. Adding more Bobs or Kevins to your setup creates a mesh network for better Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home. The Kevin router is unfortunately not on sale, but you might find the tri-band, Wi-Fi 6E router worth its regular price of $130.
