I was addicted to fillers – friends don’t recognize me now, I had it fixed
A FILLER addict said that people don’t even recognize him anymore after he had everything dissolved.
Alan Jackson, 28, once had about an ounce in his lips, as well as varying amounts in his cheeks, jaw, nose and chin.
He even learned how to inject himself after clinics stopped giving him shots due to safety concerns.
But the chef from Carluke, Lanarkshire, has completely transformed his appearance after ditching his dangerous £6,000-a-year beauty routine.
He said: “I decided this wasn’t really the look I wanted and I talked about getting it resolved.
“I wasn’t sure what it would look like and if I did know I would need surgery to lift the loose skin that I had stretched.
“Luckily I didn’t. I initially had the cheeks dissolved first and then a week later I went back to have more dissolved so that everything was gone. At that appointment I decided to have just the lips removed as well.
“I noticed it looked a lot better now that the cheeks were gone.”
Alan spent £1,500 on a course to learn how to plump himself after having his lips filled at the age of 20.
He would even sign documents promising not to sue any salon if his lips got chapped because of the size of his pout.
When his addiction was at its peak, he always felt better after being under the needle.
But now he admits that he actually suffered from his obsession.
He said: “I feel 100 percent better now that all the fillers have been removed.
“Every week I would complain about headaches or sinus problems and people would say it was from too much filler.
“I didn’t listen and since I deleted everything I never had these symptoms again.
“I’ve looked into it and overusing fillers can make you feel sick, so I definitely think that’s what’s causing it.”
And while people used to look at him because of his unique appearance, now they don’t even realize it’s the same person.
Alan adds: “The first weekend I went out after solving it, people kept saying they had to look twice and couldn’t believe the difference.
“When I show people pictures now, they still can’t believe it was ever me.”
