I was eaten alive by mosquitoes, but a cheap beauty trick takes away the itch
A TRICHOLOGIST shared her quick trick for relieving the itchy sensation you get when you’re bitten by a mosquito.
She admitted that she had been eaten alive in the past, but not anymore thanks to this cheap trick.
Yung Abbey (@abbeyyung) is a fan of everything related to hair, skin and beauty.
She deviated from her traditional content and gave advice on how to reduce annoying and itchy mosquito bites.
She shared in a Instagram Reel a skin care product she uses on her bites.
Yung admitted in the caption that she had been “eaten alive” by mosquitoes the weekend before.
She woke up in the middle of the night and was so itchy, she wanted an easy solution.
She said she “miracledly” remembered the wise words of board-certified dermatologist Dr. Andrea Suarez (@drdrayzay).
The expert indicated that she could use pimple patches to get rid of the itching and it stayed that way.
Abbey said she ran to the bathroom and placed about 20 pimple patches all over her body.
The results spoke for themselves.
“Omg…no more itching. We trust Dr. Dray,” she wrote.
She also expressed her appreciation in the video with the text on the screen.
“POC: Doctor Dray told you to put pimple patches on your mosquito bites so you never have to deal with itchy insect bites again,” it read.
She specifically used the affordable Mighty Patch Hero Cosmetics Original Patch, which costs less than $11 on Amazon.
Many Instagram users were excited to try this remedy and some shared their results.
“It worked! I’m so glad I saw this because I have a really bad reaction to mosquitoes,” one person commented.
Others were ahead of their time and were already doing it.
“Yes, except I discovered this myself when I was 11 and suffered from it, so I took my mom’s band-aids and put them on my insect bites,” one viewer wrote.
Some people suggested even more methods.
“I use Nexcare waterproof blister plasters. They don’t drag on clothing and they don’t fall off when I sweat. Instant relief!” someone advised.
“A little Tea Tree oil and you’re good. Much cheaper too,” someone else recommended.
