I was saved by a £6 purchase when a masked man tried to steal my phone in London
A WOMAN has shared her must-have £6 purchase after it saved her phone from being stolen by a masked criminal in London.
Naarah filmed herself looking excited in a busy area of the capital after going to the theatre.
But as she held her phone in front of her, a masked cyclist came from behind her and tried to grab the phone.
Luckily, Naarah had secured the phone to her with a safety cord, which thwarted his attempt.
The TikTok video showed Naarah filming the happy moment, the man coming out from behind her and a struggle ensuing as he tried to grab the phone.
After the shocking incident, Naarah said: “It confirmed to me that I never leave the house without my phone.

“I was so happy when I filmed that little moment, but I can’t believe I captured that on camera.
“If you come to London, petty crime is very common here.
“Don’t take it for granted, because it can happen to you at any moment.”
She then urged people to buy one of the cords on Amazon, for just £6.39.
“I 100% recommend it so you can keep your phone, your memories, and your life close to you,” she said.
“I learned it first hand tonight.”
People responded to the comments and asked Naarah to elaborate on the security apparatus, as she explained in another article video: “I didn’t intend to make a product out of last night’s video about this, but I was just so grateful that I have my headphones with me today, with all of my photos, my life, and everything on it.
“And that’s because this is on Amazon for £6.”
She then showed how to attach the cord to the phone: with a sticker that you attach to the phone itself, with the case over it.
The cord can then be attached to the phone with the ring.
“It’s very quick and easy,” she said.
“And then it’s done!”
