I was unhappy in my job so I sold everything and moved into a van full time
A WOMAN has revealed she sold all her belongings and moved permanently into a van because she was fed up with her job.
Madison decided that a 9 to 5 job wasn’t for her and, with her husband Tyler, purchased a 17-square-foot camper.
Because Tyler is 6 feet 1 inch tall, the RV is a tight squeeze for the couple, but they love having the freedom to travel as they please.
During the pandemic, Madison had a job at a large company that left her feeling “unhappy.”
“I went to Tyler and just said we should sell everything and move into an RV,” she told the Tiny House Tours YouTube channel.
“I was joking, but he gave me all kinds of reasons why we should do it and how much money we would save.”

When Madison realized how much cheaper their lives would be if they lived in a van, she was “sold.” The couple has never looked back.
The duo completely renovated the camper, giving it a “modern cottage look” and they say it is equipped with everything you need in an average-sized home.
They have a large sink and a large oven so they can prepare their favorite meals, there is even a microwave.
It also features a spacious bathroom with toilet and shower, and a bedroom with a queen-size bed.
The couple usually parks their RV along the roadside at night so they don’t have to spend money on campsites.
However, sometimes they do pay to stay at campsites so they can use the facilities.
Madison and Tyler now both work remotely so they can earn money while traveling across the US.
They make their money by posting content about their life in the camper on social media and through brand deals.
To save water, the couple showers only twice a week, as their water tank can only hold 110 litres of water at a time.
Is it legal to live in a van?
IF you want to live in a van to save money or to travel, you’ll be pleased to hear that there are no laws in the UK that stop you.
However, you do need to ensure that your vehicle has passed its MOT and is fully road legal.
There may also be restrictions on where you can park your van to sleep.
For example, local authorities impose restrictions on certain streets or parking lots and you may be fined if you spend the night there.
It can also be dangerous to stop in certain places, especially at night.

“We like to shower twice a week, so when we shower, it goes really quickly,” Tyler said.
Nasty current They have a solar panel on the roof of their van and also have a generator, which allows them to live completely off-grid and park wherever they want.
“The advantage of this lifestyle is obviously that you can go wherever you want as long as you have money,” Tyler said.
“We experience the ultimate freedom when we are on the road. We get to so many places that would otherwise take us 20 years to get to if we could only go on holiday.”
However, Tyler admitted that it’s difficult being away from their family during the trip.
“The sacrifices are all worth it for the freedom we have,” he said.
