The gourmets were astonished by the prices and claimed that shoppers should definitely come here if they want to score some tasty bargains.

The woman visited an outlet store in London and was told that not only could she buy certain items with the discount: buy one item, get one item free, but because she went at the end of the day, everything was valid immediately: buy one item, get two items free.

Greggs stores stock some of the chain’s most popular products, including the much-loved sausage roll, but with prices up to 75% lower.

That means you can buy a pack of four sausage rolls for £1.85, instead of £4.35. That works out at just 46p per sausage roll.

The Outlet stores sell food that is not available anywhere else and whose expiration date is almost over.

The aim is to help the chain combat food waste and help people living in disadvantaged areas to buy food at huge discounts.

The Greggs superfan shared her thoughts on the discounted store on social media, writing: “Head to your nearest Greggs Outlet! Trust me, it’s a steal!”

The content creator said at the time: “I bought the shop – Yum Yums were in boxes of two, for 65p.

“There were also big boxes of donuts, ring donuts were £1.55, everything was on sale: buy one get one free.

“And then the woman said, ‘Since it’s the end of the day, buy one get two free,’ so I started cleaning everything up.”

MORE ABOUT GREGGS OUTLETS

If you’re itching to pay a visit to a Greggs outlet, you’ll be pleased to hear that the chain plans to open six more outlet stores across the UK this year.

The bakery giant currently has 35 stores open in the UK and hopes to have 50 by the end of 2025.

Roisin Currie, CEO of Greggs, told The Sun: “We pride ourselves on being one of the UK’s largest takeaway food retailers, but a lesser-known part of our business is our outlet stores.

“By selling unsold products at a significant discount the next day, customers on a budget can still enjoy their favourite Greggs treats.”
